I've owned many water flossers in the past and this one is probably the best so far. Mostly for one simple reason: it is very easy to clean! The water tank is easily removed by twisting it off and then you can properly clean it and avoid buildup and mold. That feature alone makes this a very good product.There are a few flaws, however. 1) the water pressure could be more. This is a personal flaw as I'm sure many people believe it is just right or could be less. For me though, I feel like it could be higher and that a dial or button can be added to raise or lower the pressure. 2) the swivel head swivels too much. I know this seems like a petty thing, but I feel as though I chase the swivel head around while I am flossing. It is too loose.Other than that, a great product that does its job! My teeth definitely feel cleaner when I am done.

The water pik has been really effective in cleaning my 11 year old son's braces. He figured it out right away by closing his mouth around the spout and he's impressed with how it gets rid of all the gunk and food particles stuck between the brackets. I like how there are four spout heads that come with the water pik. The USB charger is convenient as well and so far has lasted over a week on one charged being used daily. The only suggestion I have is to make the little plastic piece that covers the charging outlet somehow attached to the water pik. By having it come out completely and be so small, I'm worried it will get lost and thus lose its water resistant property.

Update:Seller contacted me with offer to resolve the concern that I expressed in my original 2 star review. The seller shipped another unit. I tested it and it does perform much better that the first one. To be honest it is still not as good in performance as stationary unit I have, but close enough and good for traveling. The tips are replaceable, so this thing may be used by 4 people given that the tip is changed from a person to a person.I liked how easy flossing now has become. Instead of messing around with a flossing thread, which quite frankly sometimes breaks into fibers between my teeth, it's just a nice stream of water.Also I use soft setting always due to my sensitive gums, no such luck with flossing thread, it caused me bleeding.Cons:First shot I thought it was so messy! Water sprays everywhere and this thing is pumping more water even more.But you have to realize you need to get used to it. Once you are used to it, the routine becomes a bliss.Read manual, it says exactly what you need do.My advice:Do not use cold water. Causes teeth pain. Use lukewarm water, sort of body temperature.First time users, try to learn how to use it above the bathtub. Once you are comfortable with it, it will go much easier.I add some mouthwash in the tank. This prevents the water to smell stale if I have some leftover from the night before.Overall, I am fairly happy with my purchase. It's a good qualify, good design item, I hope this thing will serve me a great deal.

First I thought I was going to drown. Then I decided to wrap my lips around the little sprayer... forgot to turn it off pulling it out of my mouth... thought I was going to drown a second time. I had water everywhere. I even had half my hair wet from this thing. All in all it’s works great for me having braces. Kind of loud. Would be better if I could see where I was cleaning on my teeth instead of feeling what I’m trying to clean, because if you open your mouth while cleaning... you will nearly down or wash your hair as well.

At first it was a little messy to use. It didn't take long to get the hang of it and see the food washing out of my mouth. I had been wanting a water flosser for a while and I'm pleased with this purchase. I'm probably going to get my mom one because she hates flossing. I like that this one is portable because I don't have the sink space for the bigger types.

Decent though hard hitting until I got used to holding it closer, however there is a soft setting and a mixed setting option. Holds plenty of water half full and holds a charge. I got mine cheaper I suspect since it didn't come with a transformer to charge in an ac outlet, but uses my computer USB port okay. LED tells you when to charge and when it's full. Rather quiet too. I do see the top button that releases the probe stick, making cleaning hard.

I bought the product last December 3, after two months of use, for some reason it stopped working, it no longer shuts down in any way. I have chosen to connect it so that the engine stops working but I do not lose it. that does not turn on if I want to use it.
