Good for the easily-distracted
I owned this timer for several years and it worked very well and keeps accurate times, unlike the turn-the-dial types. The best things about it are the magnet and the clip. I am easily distracted and forgetful, so having a magnet on the back meant I could always stick it on the fridge so it wouldn't get lost. I used the clip constantly because I would put something in the oven or put a load of laundry in the washer, go off to do something else and forget about it. When I got this timer, I would set it for the food or laundry and clip it to my pants pocket, so no matter what I am doing, it will go off and remind me that, yes, I've got cookies in the oven or laundry getting wrinkly in the dryer. It's cheap, useful, and helps you multitask. I love it so much I'm buying it a second time (the first one disappeared in a move).

cute little timer
This is a perfect little timer. I bought it over three months ago and it still works great. The display face is big and easy to read. There are only three buttons that are super simple to operate. There are three ways to display it: there is a magnet on the back, also a clip and a flip down piece of metal that creates a stand (I don't think I described that very well so I included a photo). This timer gets a work out from me because I work at a desk from home all day long. I set the timer for 20 minute intervals to remind me to get up and walk around. It requires one AAA battery, which comes with it, and I am still on the one it came with. I love it.

Works great...just don't drop it
10/30/15: I've been using this timer for some weeks now, and so far it's everything I wanted. It's quick and easy to set the count-down time. I often take the timer with me while it's counting down, so trying to turn it off while attached to the refrigerator isn't an issue. It's easy to just pluck the timer off the refrigerator to turn it off, anyway, when I leave it on the frig. The alarm isn't super-loud, so it might be difficult to hear in another room if there's a lot of noise. I'm happy with how loud the alarm is, though, and this timer works well with my habits.12/8/16: Well, it's still working. A few months after buying this timer, it slipped from my hand and landed on the counter--about a 9" drop. After that, the buttons won't cooperate. I'll hit the button to start the countdown, and either it won't realize I hit the button or it'll register two hits, so immediately stops the countdown again. It takes about 3 tries to get the thing to do what I want. Yet this is more an annoyance that anything. It still works (and on the original battery), and I still use it about 10 times a day.

Junk remake of a decent old timer
Final edit: I've taken this from three starts down to one, because after a few weeks of use, the start/stop button on both timers is way too sensitive and ends up pushing itself twice when you push it once. This means the timer will never go off a lot of the time (because it stops as soon as you start it due to the second press), or will go off again in the memorized amount of time (because it starts again as soon as you stop it when the timer's going off). The old version of this timer had lost its magnet and its back-stand has broken off too, but still has a louder, clearer alarm and proper button sensitivity compared to both copies of the new version. Ugh.Original review and one older update follows:I actually have three of these timers, but the third is an older design with a less-blocky logo, silver paint for the middle part, and no "reset" guide painted on it. I've had the old one for years and it's still working, though the seconds button is a little finicky sometimes and it lost both its magnet and the back plastic part of the stand ages ago. The old timer has a higher-pitched beep/alarm than the new ones. The louder new timer has about the same volume as the old timer. The quieter new timer is essentially useless one room away with no doors in the way.I bought the new timers to jury-rigg into multi-timer since none of the multi-timers I saw on Amazon had immediate access to both timers, and/or weren't defaulted to remembering the last time-setting used. With that in mind, the purchase is no big loss and I intend to move the frankentimer to whatever location I'm waiting, which will help negate the issue with the one timer being too quiet... or I might just use the old timer and the louder new timer together and let the quiet one stay loose.Update: Changing the batteries in both new timers helped the quieter one become as loud as the other (no change on the louder one), but the volume on both is diminished by the surfaces covered with the duct tape I used to frankentimer the thing together. It's not buried under the tape by any means, as I used it as minimally as I could while making the frankentimer structurally sound, but I definitely can't recommend these timers for a project like that. I've gone ahead and ordered two Wrenwane kitchen timers of the obnoxiously-loud-timer sort because after a few weeks of using the frankentimer I am sick of not being able to hear it properly (due to forgetting I left it a room away with open spaces between me and the timer, or dared to put on heaphones with the timer sitting two feet away).

Not the most durable
I dropped it on the floor once, from about four feet up, and it stopped working :(Before that, it worked well, other than being very easy to accidentally "double touch" the buttons, which stops the timer you just started. I recommend checking it to make sure it's counting down.

Easy to use. Stick to the fridge magnetically making it handy to use.
I’ve had a couple of these over the years. It’s a useful part of my kitchen. Keeps me from forgetting the pizza baking away. Easily distracted. I also set it to try and get a chore done before it dings. Such fun.

Alarm not loud enough
The alarm is bit small, especially the panel showing the numbers, and mostly the sound of the alarm is not loud enough, especially in a normal household when you're in another room
