Silk Therapy Original Cure Conditioner, 12 oz

The picture shows shampoo. The title says Cure. Not sure what you're buying here, but when I purchased, it was shampoo. I have used all three products: shampoo, conditioner, Cure. Since some reviewers have claimed to receive fake products, I no longer purchase online, only in local shops. This is my review: I started using Silk Therapy Serum many years ago after one hairdresser used it on my hair. It’s expensive, but so worth it. My hair is long, thick, and wavy in a very unmanageable way. It used to be silky and strawberry blond, but as I’ve aged the color has dulled so I highlight it. That has caused a texture change and my hair is more like cotton than silk. I’ve longed for the silky hair of my youth, but it had eluded me for decades. After seeing a commercial for L’Oreal Elvive Total Repair 5 I started using the shampoo, conditioner and Protein Recharge. Honestly, my hair hadn’t looked that good in years. I love it. I also put the Biosilk Silk Therapy Cure Serum on my misbehaving ends and it helps tame them into submission. Somewhere along the way, I decided to buy the Biosilk Shampoo. I tried it, but was annoyed at two things. First, it seems that I needed twice the amount of shampoo I normally use, and two, it took a ton of strength to squeeze the shampoo out of the bottle. Very irritating. So mostly the bottle just sat under the cupboard. Until recently. I needed more Serum, and I ended up purchasing a set that included the shampoo & conditioner with the serum, so I decided to try all three products together and see the results. I was truly impressed. The conditioner made the difference. My hair was the silkiest I’ve ever seen. It was cool to see my hair look like the silky, flowing hair of models on TV. (I blow-dry my hair over a large round brush.) But the one thing I didn’t like is how flat my hair was compared to the fullness I get from the L’Oreal Elvive. The results are very similar. Both make my hair silky and manageable, but the BioSilk may have the edge there, but the L’Oreal gives me the fullness I need and want. I’ll probably use L’Oreal most of the time (with the Silk Therapy Serum on the ends), and use the Biosilk products on special occasions when I don’t care if I have thin-looking hair until my next wash. I now buy locally to ensure I am getting a genuine product.

I cannot say enough good things about this product. BioSilk Silk Therapy can make the most damaged hair feel silky smooth. And it's great for tangled and knotted hair. It only takes a small amount. You definitely don't want to apply too much, because it will make your hair oily. And there's a little bonus. Once you've finished applying it to your hair, rub your hands together like you do with a lotion. It will make them soft as well.

This is one product I have not been without since Farouk began making this in the 90’s!! It literally makes my thick, coarse hair soft, shiny and smooth when blow drying and protects from heat damage from straightening!! I also use the when vacationing at the beach after washing my hair and letting it dry in the salty breeze outside . It provides protection from dryness in the very hot sun while on the beach all day.

tthis product is a God send. not greasy gets rid of frizzzies and wiry hair makes it smooth shiny manageable. HIGHLY REECOMMEND. DONT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT... FOR REAL

This product is good for taming moderate frizz, adding shine and softness to my hair. If you have thick hair, you will probably need a product with thicker consistency to tame better the frizziness. For my long, thick and wavy hair I have used Biosilk Therapy Serum as finish conditioning in straight/sleek styling (just after drying and styling; for protecting my hair from heat, I use another product, a creamy leave-in conditioning specially for heat protection). The result is great shine and softness, and moderate frizz taming for the little hairs at the base of my forehead or neck, the ones that will escape or refuse to stay straight and sleek like the rest. As exclusive reinforcement for these hairs, I use little touchs of another serum (one produced and sold locally in my country), a heavier one. While Biosilk won't tame completely some frizz cases, it makes my hair feel soft and light, not sticky or saturated to the touch. Even with all frizziness not completely controled, I like what this product does to my hair, and don't mind using the reinforcement of the heavier and sticky serum, for the isolated and small cases of frizziness that Biosilk won't tame. It smells good, too. I would buy it again.
