A friend recently introduced me to Jaipur, and I enjoyed it so much that I immediately bought my own copy. The gameplay is easy to learn but still strategic enough to stay interesting, which makes it perfect for both adults and kids. I’ve since played it with both of my daughters, and they absolutely love it. The games are quick, engaging, and create a lot of fun decision-making without being overwhelming. It’s been a great way to spend time together and has quickly become one of our favorite games to bring to the table. If you’re looking for a high-quality two-player game that works well across age ranges, I highly recommend Jaipur.

I always see this game recommended and have skipped it since because it is just for 2 players. After just reading the rules, I already know it will be a hit with my girlfriend, and fortunately it was! She really liked it even during our 1st play. Now that I tried it, well, it's still sad that it is just for 2 players, but this game is fun! Pros - Easy to learn and teach. - Fast to setup and play (less than 30 minutes). - Doesn't require a huge table. - Replayable because of the competition among players. - Not multiplayer solitaire. The competition among players makes everyone adapt constantly to make the most out of the current state of the board and always be one step ahead of the opponents. You should always keep an eye to your plans and your opponent's plans. - The game design is brilliantly simple! The rules here are so simple yet very strategic and tactical (though more on tactical). - There is something in this game that makes it very fun and exciting to play. Yes it's simple, yes it's a theme that is overly done already, but there is something in its design that makes it very fun and exciting. - This is a race. The race creates tension, in an exciting way. Everytime a new card is flipped, it is exciting. Whether you were first to sell or not, it is still fun. Cons - This is an unfair criticism of the game. But it's just sad that this game can only be played between 2 players. I know that it is by design, but this game is just so fun not to share with more players. Although I was actually thinking that this game can be played with 3 players, but definitely not with 4 (or maybe you could combine 2 copies and also increase the market display size).

Easy to learn and so much fun to play with anyone!

I tried this came out because I like two player games to play with my wife. I heard how fun and portable it was so I bought it with some expectations that didn't pan out. first, the game is good quality and very fun to play and very different from any other two player game. That makes it a good game on its own. On the other hand, I found that the scoring system and the token management was so fiddly that once you got done playing a game it took several minutes to reset the game so you could play it again. that was surprising to me since no one had mentioned it. I like a game that is easy to restart once you're done so that there is no down time. that's not a terrible quality in a game but it's noticeable if you're not expecting it.

My husband and I love this game. The quality of the cards and tokens is quite nice. We’re always looking for 2 player card games as our kids are still quite young and this one is among our favorites. It is fairly fast to learn which is great because I don’t have much patience for learning new games. It is also fairly short (about 30 mins) depending on how many rounds you want to play. The mechanics feel a little similar to the game splendor but it is different enough that it still feels like an entirely different game. I have bought it for friends in the past and would trying it!

This game is a ton of fun. Easy 2 person game, with a fast paced gameplay that can serve as a warmup for more dense titles. Great for beginners in the hobby and that is super affordable.

This is a fun game! After 15 mins we understood how to play (we read the instructions and watched a YouTube video). I won the first game against my wife and she won the second game. I like how compact it is — it will be easy to travel with. The graphics and the “story” add a fun flare. I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a fun two player game 😊
