Very handy little thing
I like this because it is a versatile product, it can be used both with PCs, Android phones, Apple phones. That comes in very handy when you are working, or just have a family with mixed devices.I have tested this with Iphone 7 Plus out of the apple phones, and some Android phones like Samsung, it works fine, it has its own software for Apple (which can be improved) that is capable of doing some sorts of jobs:- back up your contacts- export your photos from phone to usb- play music files directly from its own storage- view/play the photos, videos from its own storage- can act as a file explorer for your phone storage, ti view and play photos, videos, music files, select and copy/paste/move themSo, basically, it gives your apple phone the feeling of having a Android or Windows like file explorer, that you can use for all sorts of functions as above. In terms of its functioning in Android, it is more straight forward, there is no software involvement, it is directly mounted like an SD card/USB storage (on the go etc.) and appears like a newly mounted storage in your current file explorer. The part that I think definitely could use some design improvement is the sides of the outputs, because although the middle sheath moves to both ends freely and this is useful, there is no lock to secure the sheath in one location and there is no protection covering both sides when not in use, so either one of the sides (USB 3.0/usb micro and lightning) is exposed at any time. Other than this, and some improvements that can be done in the software, this is a good, functional and versatile product that can be used in a diverse amount of situations.

Pile of XXXX
I had one use for this - I wanted to download a firmware update for my TV and as I do not currently run a pc - I wanted to do this with my iPad. And then to plug the firmware into the TV via the USB........ If only life was that simple. Downloaded the file. Opened the crappy app for this device and the file refused to move to the usb stick. Most of the time I had to repeatedly stick the device into the ipad until it was recognised. I suspect that photos and videos might be able to be stored on this device but who needs that? Well UPDATE apparently these semi apple drives can only store those files apparently! It’s all bloody ones and zeros to a computer - why would this be so? (Please drop me a comment if I’m just being stupid or there is infact a decent usb drive that would do the job.)Within about 20 minutes of operation the drive started being “not plugged in” . Eventually after a few of these error messages, the drive died I assume as it no longer worked after plugging it in. Will be returned..Furthermore the app you are forced to use with it it pretty terrible. This isnt really the manufacturers fault. Apple should have decent native file management!

Strange instructions
This is not encrypted as claimed in the advert. see the quote pasted below from the advert:※Please do refer to the User Manual preset in the flash drive※For IOS devices: Need to download the free app" Y-DISK " from App Store before you use the iphone flash drive;※For Android phones: if your phone can not work, you need to set the application in your phone setting, find the other settings, open the OTG connection, then it can work.If anyone out there can understand the instructions for Android phones I'd like to hear from them! No 'user manual' in the drive and the QR code takes you to an advert..........

Quickest return I've ever made!
The memory stick arrived this morning. I downloaded the Y-Disk app to my iPhone 5s, plugged the drive into the phone and after a while it seemed to recognise the fact the drive was plugged in. I pressed the backup button and it seemed to start to back up my photos. Great! Then it stopped and the screen went blank. Then it kept telling me the drive wasn't plugged in. Took it out, put it back in. Quit the app. Tried again - and again. The light no longer appeared on the drive. So, it's obviously not working. Just completed the return form and will be sending it back today. What a waste of time!

64gb should be 64gb, right?
This was supposed to be a 64gb flashdrive but on first use (before loading anything onto it) I could see there was only just under 59gb on it which was disappointing.I cracked on regardless as figured i wouldn't need all that space anyway so no worries...Then had to download an app (which in itself has less than great reviews). Ok - no probs. But then the app/device didn’t seem to see a significant number of the photos on the device and there was no pattern as to which ones were/were not visible...All in all, was pretty frustrating so am returning it pronto and deleting the app.Might have been user error on my part but didn’t feel too confident in this so will find another device, or alas, resort to cable and portable hard drive which is a little cumbersome (and what I was hoping to avoid), but I guess is more reliable. Thanks though! :-) x

Okay
Ermm, this is okay... I guess? It does the job, but in a very time consuming way. I can only select under 5 pictures to move to the stick, even then it copies the pictures but doesn’t give the option to remove from my album. The usb is constantly plugging and unplugging so I lose whatever progress I am making! All in all, it’s a decent price but if I had the option again, I probably would have spent a bit more for an easier/smoother process
