Folkmanis Alpaca Stage Puppet, White (2885)

My wife loved the alpaca she's a practicing ventriloquist and she's blind so I gave her something to feel touched and enjoy and to make the funny animal sounds with voices. She's cute thank you.

My 1 year old son absolutely LOVES this hand puppet. His face lights up when we put it on and we take it on all our plane rides to keep him calm. He hugs it and gives it big, wet slobbery kisses and laughs at everything Alpaca does. The fur does tend to shed a bit but Folkmanis puppets are generally very well made and our son loves it regardless of how mangled the fur has gotten. (Isn't that how all love should be? ;p) It is a little hard to make the alpaca "talk" and your hand might get cramps as you have limited motion range due to the small mouth but I have found that it helps to use my middle and ring finger for the top half, and index finger with pinky for the bottom instead of 4 fingers on top and thumb on the bottom.

Great buy! Will purchase again! We got this to do our Latin memory work with for Classical Conversations. We call her Lilly the llama...even though it's really an alpaca..but the kids can't tell the difference. Guys...this is so soft and SUCH a well made product....that I have put another 4 more on my wishlist 😆. Don't even question it..just but it. It is a really great deal for the price. They know how to make a quality made and affordable puppet! I want the tortoise, donkey, iguana and ostrich too! If and we can get them...I will do reviews on those too!

I love this puppet. I bought one for my kids (ages 1, 3 and 4) and liked it so much I immediately bought it as a gift for friends. The kids like it...but adults love it! It's just so cute (and yes, I feel a little silly going on about how cute it is). I think the quality is good. It sheds a bit, but not too much. The face is well done and expressive for puppet motions. The price is great for such a cute and quality puppet. After getting this I looked at the other Folkmanis puppets and I liked what I saw. I plan on ordering some more the original puppets they have based on the quality of this alpaca puppet.

You might purchase this on Amazon from just seeing the photo, it is irrestible when you see the actual puppet. This Alpaca puppet is the most adorable, plush, articulate puppet you likely ever see. With just the slightest of movement and jesture, this puppet comes alive. It's great entertainment for kids of all ages. We had so many laughs with the first, we bought another! Made to the highest quality standards.

This puppet deserves a 4.5 star, but I don't have that option unfortunately. First of all it is adorable! Simply a perfect puppet of an alpaca that looks lifelike! The reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the wool has a tendency to fall out each time it is used, and it is difficult to make mouth movements with this puppet. I suppose a child would have no problems, but much harder on an adult. I don't have large hands, but my hand always feels arthritic by the time I'm done with this thing. Oh and did I mention it doesn't breath well? Your hand will be covered in sweat when you're done. But I don't mean to paint a bad picture of this cute guy! It really is one of the highest quality puppets you can buy and won't be disappointed with your purchase. I would certainly buy it over again!

This puppet is the softest puppet we own. His curly hair looks so realistic. And the balls in his cheeks makes him super expressionative. Such a lovely puppet. A definitely must have for any puppet show. Be warned. May deprive your family of t.v. time!

This hand puppet is wonderful for talking with children. It's soft and lovable which makes what "it"says" more welcoming for a child. I use it in teaching and in counseling children.
