Good quality, plays and sounds great
I've been playing guitar for almost 20 years and have been wanting to pickup ukulele for a while. Not wanting to break the bank, I did a bit of research before buying this one. Believe it or not, another review by a guitarist in my same situation is what sold me on this one.Top to bottom, this is a good ukulele. Probably not as high a quality as you'll get spending 3 or 4 times the amount this costs, but I'm still impressed with it for the price. The neck is well shaped and stress from tuned strings has no ill effect of it; even pulling back to imitate tremolo, it doesn't give. The body is solid and light; does NOT appear to be laminated wood, but rather a sheet of wood, as you would expect with any nice acoustic guitar or violin. The nut and bridge both appear to be a nylon-type material, but none I'm familiar with. Comes with Aquila Nylgut stings. They take a few days to break in, but after a few tunings, they keep pretty well and have a great tone. I've bought a set of Super Nylguts as replacements, but haven't found the need to replace yet (only been a week or so).Back to the ukulele itself, the frets are well-cut and placed, though intonation is not possible and its ever so slightly out of tune towards the 10th fret and up, but with my fat fingers, I'm not playing much up there anyway. And this is a ukulele, not an electric guitar! Chords are best, but some double-stops are manageable...Mine came with a quick-chord book and pitch pipe. I've never been good with a pitch pipe and had no better experience here... It's easier to use a tuner with a mic or an app on your phone. That side, I bought a KLIQ a few days after getting this and it works wonders. And the chord book is a good start, but there are websites that are much more useful once you get going. Last thing was the gig bag. It's your typical, cheap nylon bag, but it fits the necessities!All-in-all, very happy with this ukulele and will be playing it for a long time to come!

Nice Little Instrument
I'll be honest that my ukulele experience is all of 2 days. That said, I have played other stringed instruments, so I am not a complete noob.Initial impressions:1) This is really really light weight, however, the build feels solid and it is almost flawless cosmetically.2) Very sweet sound. This instrument has a bit of play in the strings, but it really helps make this sound nice.3) Mine came with a gig bag (which is nice, but I may want a harder case considering my general clumsiness), a tuner, and a pitch pipe. It also came with a one page guide of common chords.4) The strings are nylgut and appear to be pre-stretched. This thing does not seem to be slipping out of tune at all. It actually arrived with all of the strings tuned slightly sharp. I used an electronic tuner to confirm this, but it was super easy to get going. So far I am ecstatic about my first ukulele. It is an excellent purchase for the price, and I can't resist picking it up constantly.UPDATE: So, I thought I was doing something wrong when I had the instrument tuned, but the frets were all sharp. Turns out, the bridge was set to high. It took me about an hour to fix the issue, and the ukulele is in perfect tune all the time now. Be aware that you may need to get this instrument ready for playing. There are all kinds of good guides to follow to make minor adjustments. I still stand by my 5 star rating. This is an excellent instrument for the price.

Amazing!
So i bought this ukulele for my girlfriend for Christmas and was looking for a decent price and sound all in one, and intended to draw on the face with a sharpie and "art it up". When this arrived i was overwhelmed with the quality of it and the sheer beauty of it, like this thing is gorgeous; so the intent to sharpie it went out the window for i am severly lacking in all areas of visual arts... Its a bit darker color in person than in the pictures which is fine with me, and the engraving is clean and thorough throughout the design. The strings on it are pretty nice as well which is a bonus to me as i sort of expected to change them immediately out of the box, but this thing sounds great after its played a bit for some wear(which to me is kind of a mind thing with a new instrument). the few people I've told about this present I've also told them that I'm kind of sad to give it away (and contemplated ordering another one for myself) but its going to a good home where ill see it plenty. But all in all i am very satisfied with this purchase, even contemplating buying a luna guitar now because i like the whole brand icon. Sounds great, Looks great, Feels great. 5/5 stars in my book

Great beginner uke, not so great bag and tuner
I previously bought a Donner uke for my son, and we are taking lessons together so I needed to get another uke. This Luna is in the same price range as the Donner but the sound quality is tab bit better, good enough for us two beginners. In comparison to Donner, the carrying case is not as sturdy and lacks padding, and non-digital pitch tuner is fairly lame - hence taking off one star. Love the turtle design though, makes it more fun to play. When we get better, we'll consider buying a Hawaiian made version, for now these made in China uke will do.

Wow! Very impressed. Looks like it is worth much more!
I don't know jack about instruments but wanted to try my hand at the ukulele. After doing some research, a few people pointed to Luna brand. I got mine a week ago and I am very impressed. The build quality seems top notch. It is beautiful in person (way nicer looking than the pictures). Sounds great, holds a tune, easy to play.A professional musician might laugh at this (maybe?) but I think if you are like me just an average person wanting a very nice ukulele, you will be pretty pleased with this.
