If your rifle beats you up, get one of these. I used to absolutely dread zeroing my rifle before hunting season. Every time I had to re-sight because of new ammo or scope adjustments, I knew I was in for punishment. It felt like someone was swinging a 2x4 at my shoulder with every shot. The pad does exactly what it promises. It's not magic - you'll still feel the rifle move, but it turns that sharp crack into more of a push. I have a 24-firearm surplus collection. Most of the rifles, but not all, are large caliber firearms. One is a conversion 12G shotgun which kicks like a horse. The LimbSaver is a great addition to make firing my rifles less of a chore. On a normal day if I fired 20-30 rounds of 8mm Mauser I'd be in pain, but with the LimbSaver the recoil is limited without affecting the mechanics of the rifle. It's been a worthwhile purchase for the larger calibers and I wouldn't go without it. I purchased the largest size but sometimes it still has some trouble getting around certain buttstocks. That being said, I've had no issue fitting it so far. It's been a great purchase.

I don’t care for how it fits, but it is a LimbSaver brand and it does work. I’ll probably wrap something around the stick and then put it on the shotgun. Does it’s job, but my butlercreek recoil pad has a tighter fit.
