Superb wall mount, exceptional value, don't hesitate buying
It takes a lot to impress me. A LOT. So when I rave about this TV wall mount my friends, colleagues and family perk up. They also know I'm one of those types who's much happier doing the upfront detailed research rather than wasting my time or otherwise become frustrated with a second-rate product. I haven't gushed about a product as innocuous as a wall mount in years. Here's why: - Solid build & assembly As in (happily) over-engineered even bomb proof. When mounted per the instructions this baby isn't coming down. While connecting the TV cables I bumped into it; it didn't budge a micron - and I'm not a small guy. The welds are significant & very well done (welding quality is key). - High quality components & design I know MilSpec grade work when I see it - our family owns a design & manufacturing company that does some pretty cool stuff in that regard. So not only is this solid it's also comprised of components that aren't going to fail. And it all works together seamlessly. - Function It does what it says; tilts up, down, swivels side to side, telescopes off wall about 16". The post-mounting leveling option (says up to 3 degrees either direction) was a total lifesaver. Turns out our hardwood floors are not 100% level. But not the TV is, thanks to ingeniously simple adjustment screws, easily accessible to with the TV mounted...which is kind of key (another company's mount was ridiculously challenging to work with; it's been returned). - Clear instructions. As in OMG they really nailed it. Just wish other vendors' guides could be as helpful. - Value for the money I don't mind paying extra for better quality. The great news here is, this is less expensive than all other competing brands I looked at (and used one of) - but it's far, far, far higher quality. Only quibble: after telescoping tv off wall (eg to view at angle) one needs a little care when returning tv back flush against wall mount. Seems to be a bias for the mount to more readily retract right or left just not straight back. Maybe my set up, may even be a way to modify that a bit eg via a tension screw. Mention it here as I've on-wall speakers either side of TV (future project to replace with in-walls). Don't hesitate, get this. before they wise up and raise the prices ;) Used to hang Sony XBR 65" 930D LED HDTV. It's about 70 pounds.

Great product and price
Very durable/well built and easy to install, minimal pieces to assemble and aligned perfect with my 16" spaced studs. A word to the wise: this is worth the additional cost over other "bargain" mounts. When hanging a lot of weight on your wall the hardware is important! The 4 long and high quality mounting screws make this extremely sturdy (these hardended screws go deep (3" x 4) into your wall studs and will take A LOT of torque and not break, I have no worries at all they will ever loosen or snap). In addition to the great hardware, this mount is incredibly functional. It's very easy to hang and then adjust angle and tilt of the TV once installed. Glad I read all the 5 star reviews first, this does not disappoint! Believe this is really the best built/best designed product, especially for the reasonable price (with this you get what you pay a little extra for... including piece of mind! Update 5/2018: Used previously for a 60" 50+ lb tv and worked great, so just bought a 2nd for another TV 65" about 62 lbs and absolutely no issues (still less than 1/2 the weight limit, I have no doubt this mount can handle a 100 lb+ 70" also). The other mount I installed 3 years ago still works great, I turn the tv all the time/daily 3 or 4 times and no issues, not even a squeek, and no sagging after 3 years of use. Really a great product and easy to install/mount and adjust if needed -- just a great user-friendly and durable design. Comes with plenty of bolts of varying lengths for the back of the TV, and extenders if needed, and an HDMI cable (I didn't need but a nice thought). You will need a good stud finder (check and recheck stud centers 3-4 times before drilling and you'll have no issues), a level, a tape measure,a power drill and 7/16" drill bit,, phillips screwdriver, a pencil or sharpie, and 2 people to do this right. Update 9/2018. I've installed 3 of these now with no issues, including a 70" LG', a 65" Vizio, and a 60"Samsung (the 70" was about 75 lbs and other 2 in the 60 lb range). Another plus, these are shipped by Echogear, and all 3 I've ordered have been in the mail the very first business day after I placed the orders and arrived faster/earlier than expected. Also wanted to provide feedback to those who gave 1 star reviews. Of course they are entitled to their opinions, but seems most are obviously people who either did not read the product description before ordering or did not know how to (read and/or) install properly. In other words, they did not check their stud spacing (don't order if you don't know/have a stud finder), did not check their TV bolt pattern, or couldn't figure out how to tighten the tilt bolt (it's in the instructions!). Measure your studs before you order, newer homes where I live are all 16", if you have wider studs this mount will not work (get the other model)! Can't speak to those who say bolts didn't fit the back of their TV, but Echogear includes a TON of different diameter and length bolts and spacers for both smaller and larger TVs. I've mounted 3 different TV brands all different sizes with no issues (the thread patterns and bolt sizes are standardized, just need to check the length needed).

This tv mount was really easy to install and an excellent price. You'll pay twice as much at the big box tech stores as they try to get you on peripheral items. This is a solid unit and has great range for tilting. Holds a 65" OLED tv no problem. Great buy, great value. UPDATE: I've added a screenshot to help customers with VESA patterns as the question comes up occasionally in "Amazon Customer Answers". Hope it helps. Similar to the one that Amazon provides, in case you missed it in the product photos section. TIPS FOR THE NON-TECHNICAL... Make sure you secure it to wall studs properly. If you don't want to poke test holes in your wall to find them and you don't have a "stud finder", spend the $10-20 dollars to get one. Handy to have around the house anyway. You can get one right here on Amazon. DO NOT USE drywall wall plug anchors. Even the aggressive screw-in type are not sufficient. Its VERY unlikely that the manufacturer of your 65" OLED tv, that cost you $3000, will warranty damage due to careless and negligent mounting. Especially when it falls off the wall, shatters, and you send it back in a thousand pieces. A pricey lesson to learn. Use the appropriate screws and hardware for your application. If you have wood studs then get some heavy duty wood screws. Get at least a #6 thread, #8 is too small in my opinion. If you live in a condo then you likely have aluminum studs. You can use "self tapping" or "self drilling" screws. You need a drill to push either one through a metal stud. The configuration of the wall mounting plate will allow you to put (4) screws into studs to secure it. (2) upper, (2) lower. If you have aluminum studs you may want to consider putting extra support in as the (4) stud screws will only be holding onto thin sheets of aluminum. You want to make sure they are each tightly holding in the aluminum. If you over tighten, then you risk stripping the hole in the aluminum, and you will have less or no support at all from that screw. Use a drill to penetrate the aluminum, use a hand screwdriver to finish so you can "feel" when its tight, and not strip the hole. If I had aluminum studs, I would also put (1) upper and (1) lower wall plug/screws in the center of the bracket to help support the (4) stud screws, just to be safe. I suggest screw in EZ Anchors, they are solid. With wood, use @ least (4) #6 (min. 2") screws and you'll be set. Regardless of your stud type, use washers to ensure the screws do not slip through the bracket slots when tightened. You may need washers regardless if the diameter of your screw head is smaller then the bracket slot's. It's a good precaution even if you don't need to. Beyond mounting the bracket securely, the instructions will clearly explain the rest of the assembly process. As there are "hook" brackets that attach directly to your tv when its still on the floor, you are able to easily lift it up, and set it onto your completed ECHOGEAR wall mount assembly with ease. Be sure to center it it on the mount to distribute weight evenly as mentioned in the instructions. Then screw in the provided brackets on the lower rail to secure it. Very easy! Just be sensible. Although you can't wait to try your new tv, today's new generation are fairly fragile and can't sustain any drops or bangs. Be patient, get someone to help you lift it so that you don't hurt your back, and you don't end up with a broken tv, which MAY be on your credit and not repairable. If you spent this kind of $$$ on a tv, spend the few dollars for proper hardware, and do it right. It's worth it. If you are not comfortable doing it, ask a friend for help or hire someone to install it properly for you. Best of luck, enjoy!

I have a 55” Samsung and this system works perfectly. Easy to assemble and mount on wall. Super sturdy and swing out works well. I took time to work through the product selection and was not disappointed. However, here are some things to consider. 1) the wall bracket will not fit studs wider than 16”. If wider is needed you need the related product or you need adddtional screws to mount on a centre line. 2) on my Samsung the brackets attached to the TV just fit - another 1-2 cm and it would’ve been a no go. So if you have a larger set be very sure you consider that. I had to fit a screw assembly to get a good fit but they supply lots of screw lengths and spacers to work that out. 3) I got the sound bar mount too. Fit well but seems to be a bit wonky in that the stiffness is not there and the bar can be readily moved leading to it not be dead parallel with the TV which I find really annoying. It stays once you set it up but if you inadvertently bump it you have to re-align it. Not bad for adults but the kids are always pushing out of alignment. All that said it is a good product, does what it says and seems to be excellent quality and there is loads of room for adjustments for I am sure hundreds of flat screen models - but it isn’t 100% universal. Measure carefully my friends.

The bracket is well made, however it didn't have M8 bolts of the correct length to suit the new Samsung 65" 4KUHD TV. Problem solved by adding some extra washers between the bolt head and the bracket. Not a problem when ones has a well equipped workshop with washers on the shelf. The two parts of the bracket that attach to the TV were fastened at their extreme ends, so no facility for altering the vertical height of the TV other than moving the bracket. The section that fits to the wall could be made slightly longer for installations where the bracket needs to be off centre of the vertical studs. The full articulation and being able to slide the TV off centre, (not too far) compensates a bit. Our media wall was built with multiple vertical studs just in case.

I purchased this wall mount for a 65" Samsung Television. The wall mount is very solid. When you pickup the box you will feel the weight. Did not come with plastic taps. If installing into wood frame house the included bolts are actually very strong and will not need the plastic. I installed into masonry/stone so I had to buy some taps which was not an issue. I actually used metal. There is a great variety of different size and length screws to ensure you get the right size for your television to mount properly too. This was great! For my installation I had to use 2 different lengths in the top and bottom. The spacers were not helpful for me as they were a bit to wide and bit too long. But this was not an issue as they give you different length screws to use. Instructions are simple, with clear pictures and easy to understand. Once installed on the wall, I pulled the unit and it still felt solid. It does not extend as far as my last mount, but the last mount only came out a tiny bit further and only handled half the weight. My only complaint is the adjustment for the tilt was a bit hard to adjust. Had to read the instructions to see how to pull out and twist. I have it fixed now, but don't think I want to change the tilt with such a large television set. The included HDMI cable feels thick and of decent quality. If I ever purchase another large television set, I would but this mount again.
