I love gnocchi, and I love sweet potatoes, and I can’t stand these. They taste like neither of those things, just whichever of the pumpkin pie spices are the bad ones. The texture is also terrible. I wouldn’t have bothered reviewing, except I just got fooled for the second time after buying these and hating them a few years ago and then forgetting about it. Fool me twice, get a review.

I've never reviewed any food I've bought on Amazon until now. Boy, was I disappointed in these gnocchis. I was really looking forward to trying these. The person that I was eating with, and I, both agreed after trying gnocchi after gnocchi, trying with all our might to detect any semblance of a flavor, it was confirmed, these gnocchis had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. No sweet potato flavor, no anything flavor. I was confused as to what I was eating. It was just like a big, firm lump of nothing. It was gross.

I was not too impressed by this brand but take my review with a grain of salt taste is to each their own.I prepared this as per the instructions and tossed with some red sauce once cooked. I like sweet potatoes and I like gnocchi so having both at the same time sounds wonderful. I was not prepared for I guess how sweet the gnocchi was going to be. For some reason i thought the cooking would take some of that sweetness out from the potato but it did not and with the sweetness of the red sauce as well the meal was much too sweet for my liking. I may try these again and try with a different sauce but I think I will enjoy my Gnocchi and Sweet potatoes separately going forward. If you are going to cook these pick your sauce wisely the sweet potato in these gnocchi are very much sweet. Texture was good, taste was ok but I think my sauce choice killed the meal.

Actually, this is amazing. Cook about 2 minutes in boiling water, drain. Brown a few Tablespoons butter, 1/2 tsp salt and dried or fresh sage. Put gnocchi back in pot for 1 minute to reheat. Top with grated Parmesan.

You definitely want to pair these with something else - I tried just eating them after cooking, they dried out again fairly fast. Tasted very bland, but a little cheese on top helped. Obviously meant to add to something else... I just didn't have much else to eat with them at the time.

I know you think you will like this, because so did I. But it is horrible. Tastes like biting into a spoonful of chalk.
