Adventure Anthology 1

There is a pile of great adventure content for the price in this printed books that is less than most PDFs. It’s old school feel and just what I wanted.

For what these books are they are really great. Especially if you are into older edition gaming. They play like a love letter to 2nd edition D&D with aspects of 3rd edition tied in. Great buy when you want to compete a collection that provides endless adventures but are on a budget. If you are ok with PDF you don't even need to purchase them, but personally I always prefer physical copies. Plus at $6 a pop it's not hard to make sure all your players have a copy. There is a lot of materials to choose from and more online but the Core book really is all you need. It's rules, tables, plot hooks, and bestiary all in one. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

This is just poorly organized and outdated. It is based on 3e so if that's what you're looking for I'm sure it's fine. I really dislike that the encounter maps are at the end of the encounter. I want to see what I'm looking at before I read about it.

This is amazing! I have been Playing for a while Basic Fantasy with my kids and this adventures are what they use to craft their own, when I am not around to DM. Love the printing and the Style. Very organize like the Basic Fantasy Role Playing Game.

It says something that everyone likes this so far.At such a small price, you don't need to like many of the 14 mini adventures in this book. Fortunately, I liked most of them. Sure they need some work to fit in your campaign, but this is a lot of work done for you. Any DM should have no issues getting their money's worth here.

This is a great layout for picking up and running a game. You can get away with running a game with this book and a few tables on the inside of your screen.

I rarely review Adventures because I rarely run premade Adventures. I sometimes buy them to mine for ideas. I found a lot to mine here, so many great ideas in these mini Adventures I plan to Port over into my own games.

If you're a fan of the old school then look no further. AA1 is brimming with adventures, plot hooks, and locations, completely compatible with not only BFRPG and any other OSR Retroclone, you cand easily convert the contents of this book to more modern edition of the worlds most famous fantasy rpg. This product has a lot of bang for buck, if you don't believe me check out the pdf (availabe for free) at the BFRPG website, you won't be dissapointed!

Basically written, but that is fine as it's Basic Fantasy and these guys wrote it for free. Has Monsters which will outright kill the low level adventurers these quests are designed for. I know it's meant to be old school, but my goodness a TPK will be common place with some of these adventures. Otherwise it is well presented and looks old school too. For the price you can't complain (even though I did about the monsters).

An excellent set of starter adventures for the Basic Role Play game mechanics - and easily adapted to other rule sets such as D&D 5e! A really worthwhile addition

This is an excellent product. The adventures are well written, quick and easy to learn. They can be run as stand alone adventures or easily knitted into a campaign. It would be nice to see a lot more products like this one.

Cheap but effective

My only dislike is this book, like most of the series, has no spine label. Or title. Or whatever you call it. They’re thin books, yes, but there’s dozens in the series, and you’ll probably enjoy them enough to continue collecting them. An easy way to find them in the stack would be the finishing touch.
