I have seen several types of faux candles. They include fake candles that glow/pulse light from within (no flame), others with a 3-dimensional hard clear or hazy plastic flame that glows or has some vibrating light in it to create a flicker, and this type that has a thin almost 2-dimensional shaped plastic "leaf" flame that waves above the light to create a flicker. Some I have seen were made from real wax, others were plastic that look like pillar candles (whether they came with or without fake flames/flicker options/timers, etc.) All of them are fairly expensive, and some are outrageously expensive. But these are my favorite! They have everything I could ask for: flicker or no-flicker WITH a fake flame either way, remote control with a timer, very real looking, and this set is waterproof too! For me, I prefer the non-wax variations because they look like wax, but they are not temperature sensitive. I live in the warm southeast US and real wax can deform and/or discolor with time. I suppose the plastic on these might too, but these seem more sturdy than wax. I also don't like dusting real wax candles because sometimes the dust gets embedded into the wax and ends up looking worse instead of better. I also like these because they let me use a candle in the summer without creating more heat. And, even better, they currently rival the cost of the best candles I have found, anywhere. I will be buying some for gifts, I like them so much.

I love using candles to illuminate our backyard and pool area. So far, I’m very pleased with this set. The remote works great and has good range. The brightness is perfect for my setting- not too bright that it looks artificial. I like the flicker option- but you can choose to turn it off. The biggest factor for me is their ability to withstand weather conditions (100+ degrees and rain). So far, they’re holding up well. The bottom of the candles have a cover/plug that prevents water from entering the battery compartment. This is a huge plus. My former “waterproof” candles lacked this feature and they didn’t last a year. One drawback for me is that the candles are very lightweight. A few of mine are contained in lanterns- but the others are not. If we experience a windy or stormy night, they’ll easily fall over. This isn’t a deal breaker for me- but worth mentioning.

Had these in a ceramic pumpkin and the little water that came in during the season shorted these candles out. Half of them had to be thrown out.Update - seller provided me another set to try. Have not tried these yet but very pleased with the excellent customer service. So far I have only used these inside and they work.

These are nice, color is true to picture, deep burgandyThey are Very light weight - plastic (made to use outdoors)They reflect nicely.I do like their wax ones better, they are heavier and not as easyto knock overBut if you wanting for outdoor patio use, these are the ones you want, won't meltin the heat - I don't think I'd leave them in and uncovered area, rain would mostlikely kill them - for my screen room they are great, I do bring them in since I'only use screen room in warmer weather - I currently am using them in side on nightstand - make nicenight light - I keep the remote where I can reach it then hit the on button

These are pretty good, a little touchy, but otherwise pretty good. Had a hard time getting them all to turn on when I first put batteries in as one of the battery compartments was a little snug. Once I got them working, they all worked fine. Half the time I need to aim the remote at each candle to get them to turn on, but once on I put on the timer and they've come on every day since like promised. Pretty decent, and am happy since I wanted candles I could use outside.

These are very nice lights bit put out very little light. Maybe the same as a dollar store solar light but probably not quite as many lumens. So if you want “light”, look elsewhere, if yu want something to just look nice, these are fine.

These candles produce the most realistic flame you can imagine when they are on! We have two on our front porch steps in some lanterns, two more on the back deck hanging on a hook inside lanterns and still two more inside on our dining room wall in sconces. They have the most beautiful flame-like appearance when they're going and I love the convenience of the timer/remote control. When I experienced a problem and contacted Comenzar they answered my inquiry promptly and made sure I was completely satisfied with resolving my issue. These are the same look as those really high priced flameless candles at a fraction of the price.

Just ok, a little flimsy for the money. The bottoms are impossible to get off. One has already “flamed out” doesn’t work, replaced the battery… I just threw it away.

The candles were thinner than expected but other than that they are great . I’m using them outside in my lanterns. I especially like the timer feature , with the timer you don’t have to worry about turning them on or off it happens automatically.
