Size:20-SHRIMP Green Babaulti Shrimp (Caridina cf. babaulti) are very rare in the United States and one of the most beautiful dwarf shrimp types available. Their stunning green coloration makes them stand out magnificently against any aquarium décor or substrate, such as natural wooden decorations or dark colored marbles. Until recently, these shrimp have been very difficult to find, and we are thrilled to be one of the few North American retailers able to offer them! Most available specimens are wild-caught and inconsistent in coloration, most likely due to misidentification and a lack of scientific research of this relatively new species. We proudly offer tank-raised specimens, virtually all of which are bright green!Green Babaulti Shrimp will breed in a home aquarium! Their fry are smaller and grow more slowly than many other shrimp species, so this species requires a mature, dedicated dwarf shrimp aquarium for successful rearing. There seems to be a growing consensus that these shrimp will breed in either harder water or softer water, as long as extreme conditions are avoided. All dwarf shrimp prefer to live in tanks with live aquatic plants (such as java moss, duckweed etc.) or decorations that provide cover, such as cholla wood, aquarium log, or artificial coral reef. Dwarf shrimp like these are compatible with all other shrimp, including Sakura Shrimp, Tangerine Shrimp, and Flower Shrimp. They are also compatible with smaller sized, peaceful fish, such as the Neon Tetra, Cherry Barb, Dwarf Gourami, and Scarlet Badis. They can be kept with most snails, including Red Racer Snails and Mystery Snails.AQUARIUM CARE GUIDE: - Temperature: 64° - 84° F (17.8° - 28.8° C) - pH: 6.5 - 7.8 - KH: 0 - 10 dKH - Minimum tank size: 2 gallons - Average adult size: 1 - 1.5 inches (2.5 - 3.8 cm) - Average purchase size: 1/2 - 1 inch (1.3 - 2.5 cm) - WARNING: Copper is toxic to invertebrates. So beautiful!
Normally I’m more of a fan of blue colored shrimp, but I wanted a little color variety for my tank, so I ordered 5 of these guys. I received 6, all were alive and healthy. I got 2 females and 4 males. They’re honestly just as bright green and vibrant as the pictures. They’re a bit reclusive, but I’m always super happy when I can spot one swimming around. I’ve only had mine for a couple weeks now, but one of the females I received is already berried (carrying eggs). I’m so excited!

Interesting to watch...not available locally.
Well it was more like five. I think some died in transit but it wasn't worth the trouble of having them re-shipped (taking photos of the dead ones, calling the vendor etc) The vendor is so thoughtful I'm sure he will include extra with my next order in the spring.Next time I will order something a bit more colorful as these disappear in my planted tank. I also ordered nerite snails which are great. I never thought I could watch something move so slow for so long. There is no algae in my planted tank thanks to these guys. I had algae-covered drift wood that was cleaned in 2 days. Interesting packing. and a bit messy but it works. You should open it over the trash or outdoors with the wind blowing away from you.

I loved them. They are busy little creatures
I first got myself a few shrimp, just because I was cureous. I loved them. They are busy little creatures. Industrious like they have a purpose to motivate them. Then I found out by reading some psychology forums and blogs, that watching aquatic creatures was actually good for your heart. Good for your psyche. Good for removing stress.I simply find them to be a joy to watch. Friends, family and especially my grandkids are getting more hooked on going to my office in order to watch them for a while.

Not our cup of tea, but still happy with Aquatic Arts : )
Order was for 5. We received 6 although 1 was not alive. USPS had damaged our box so almost all the water had leaked from their package and the stuffing in the box along with David and Crystals letter was all wet. Not their fault though. Although I do wish the packages were marked with Live Animals. Not sure if it would help or not. Shrimp were smaller than I expected and when put in our 75gal tank, they just disappeared. We every once in a while spot them, but they blend pretty well with our plants and stone gravel. I really should have paid more attention to the size and not gotten the dwarf shrimp, but I know better for next time. I still feel like Aquatic Arts is the absolute best to purchase from!

5 stars for good people
Due to crazy weather there were issues shipping the shrimp. One is currently alive and extremely active. They bent over backwards for me but the weather just wasn't cooperating. I will try again when the temps stabilize some more. The quality of the one I have in my tank is amazing. None of the local stores have anything close.

Great customer service! The shrimp are very fun and colorful!
Unfortunately the first batch came in a leaking bag and the packaging was a mess. I won't blame them as anything can happen in transit. Only one survived that trip so I texted the owner and he got back to me very fast. A few days later the replacements came, free of charge. The shrimp themselves acclimated nice and took a day to color up. They look fantastic and are a lot of fun to watch!
