Well, I normally don't do many reviews on products but after almost 2 years with this trimmer, I wanted to give everyone an update. First off, I use it probably at least three to four times a week to trim my goatee and sideburns, and every once in a while my eyebrows. I truly believe I've only had to charge it five or six times in the last year. The battery life is incredible on this thing. Secondly, it's still sharp and feels just as good as it did on the first day. No issues whatsoever with anything. I was initially worried that it wasn't waterproof and I couldn't rinse it off, but it's so easy just to use my little brush to get hairs out of it and then just a damp cloth to wipe it down will clean it up perfectly. You really cannot go wrong with this trimmer. I recommend it highly. I wanted to update my previous review. After a few months of use, I'm getting a much better idea of this trimmer. First off, the quality is very very good. The switch feels good, it fits in your hand and the adjustment knob feels tight after much use. This trimmer replaced a couple of difference name brand models I had and I can say that this one seems built much better. Seconds, the battery life is incredible. I have gone well over a month before I need to charge and I use it pretty much everyday. Cannot complain about that at all. It's very sharp still and when you set the level it is even all the way around when you trim your beard. I was worried at first about the blade guard but the more I use it some more I'm happy with it. I do wish it was waterproof but it is pretty simple to clean. What I recommend this? Heck yes. And for the price you cannot beat it. if they offer other products with the same quality that this trimmer has, I will be purchasing from them again.

When I needed a new beard trimmer the most important feature for me was an easily adjustable blade length . The Serpent trimmer was one of the few that had that feature and at a very reasonable price. After using the Serpent for a month now it is all that I hoped it would be and more. The battery charges quickly and is still holding the initial charge. The beard length adjustment has almost an infanite number of settings and is easy to operate. I must advise buyers that you must follow the instructions precisely to remove the plastic comb over the blades. You must turn the adjustment knob all the way up to number 10 before trying to remove or reinstall the plastic cone otherwise it requires alot of pressure to seat it which could cause it to crack. This happened to me, I followed up with the Serpent Service Team and they have been excellent to work with, very eager to replace the cracked comb and quickly. If you follow the instructions this will not happen to you. I am very pleased with this machine, in the quality and operation at a very reasonable price. The customer service is also quite extraordinary, these are the reasons I would not hesitate to purchase this device in the future

1/20/2021 Update I'm adjusting my review because I've had more time to use it now. Overall except for the below minor issue it's a great trimmer! The battery lasts a long time between charges and it's nice to clean and maintain and I like that it only has the one guide attachment. Still docking it one star because it doesn't show a charging indicator while charging or let me know when it's done charging, but doesn't seem to effect the ability of it taking a charge. You probably won't have this problem as the seller has contacted me to let me know that they've addressed some manufacturing issues from the past. 6/17/2020 Original Review I like the design, it's quiet and easy to clean. I've only used it once, but wonder how many more uses I'll get out of it before the battery is dead since I can't charge it. At least I believe it's not charging because according to the manual I should see the red light indicating that it's charging and it does not light up. I either have a bad unit or the cable is bad because I confirmed the power brick I'm plugging their USB cable into is good with another device and even tried multiple power bricks. The green indicator does come on during use so at least I know the LEDs should be working.

Just charged this up and used it for the first time. I have other trimmers with offset guides but mostly they RIP hair from the face if I go to quickly... sometimes even if I don't. My beard is a little unruly, we've been quarantined and nobody sees me. So... first use: this is the smoothest trim, very effective and accurate. The most comfortable trimmer to use I remember ever having. The head has a dial offset and it works well. It doesn't slip. If I wanted to change the setting I had to turn the power OFF before I could reset. very cleaver. The offset doesn't appear to disengage for cleaning, but it seemed to work. There is no UL wall plug in the box. It comes only with a USB plug, which is a cheapout by the manufacturer. But the trimmer unit, I'm impressed. I can't really comment on the battery life having charged it only once. I'm giving it a 4 but cud become a 5 pretty easily. A couple months later and I have raised my review to five stars because every aspect of this little gem is really terrific. The battery is good. I want to be charged it up twice but I’ve used it pretty much every day for three months. Very happy with it. The really amazing part is how smooth it is on my skin. It doesn’t rip. I have chunky eyebrows and trimming them has always been a struggle. It isn’t a struggle any longer with these clippers.

I bought this so I wouldn't have to bring another charger with me, and it fits the bill perfectly. It also holds a charge for a long time, and when it does need to charge, it's really simple. Small and fits right into my toiletry kit for travel. Also, the button to turn it on is a slider, which has some resistance, so it's not likely to turn on inside your bag. (Always love when that happened with other models, and you can feel your bag vibrating, but can't stop to take your bag apart to find it, or you don't notice and end up with a dead buzzer).

ok trimmer. bought this august 2019. the plastic guard is junk. after 2 uses. i trim my beard once a week. the guard cracked. i glued it and it lasted about 2 more uses and cracked again. now one of the tines have broken off. i use 1 time per week and store it in a hygiene bag in a drawer so i’m not sure how it broke. went to amazon to buy a new guard. they sell the replacement guard. hmm probably because it’s junk. the last trimmer i had lasted 10 years no problems WAHL. going to go back to a WAHL. pure junk guard. update: was contacted by email from a SUPRENT rep Message from seller SUPRENT: Dear james, Thanks for your response and support on us. SUPRENT Support Team i told them i didn’t want a replacement just reimburse me and i’ll send the trimmer to them. they said no keep it we will reimburse you for all you have paid for and your shipping and you can keep the trimmer. i agreed. it’s now 1/21/2020 and i haven’t received my reimbursement. tonight i get another email identical to the first email. at this point i’m done, stay away from this product and company. this trimmer is junk and they’ve waisted my time and haven’t delivered the compensation for their poor product. they have no idea what good customer service is.

I was looking for an adjustable trimmer that would go beyond 10mm in length, had non-proprietary charging (USB C) and was waterproof so I could use it in the shower. After trying multiple brands this trimmer was the best in meeting my needs. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't actually let you use USB C cords to charge. I thought I could use my own charger but when I tried, nothing happened. I was worried the trimmer was broken. Thanks to listening to the Vergecast I found out that lots of USB C devices have been implemented in a low cost way and only work with older USB A to USB C cords. They won't work with newer USB C to USB C cords. This is really annoying and limits which cords I can use to charge this trimmer. So I'm disappointed but otherwise this trimmer works well and I'll continue to use it. Warning to anyone out there buying USB C devices so you can use a single cable to charge everything. Some devices like this one, will only work with USB A to USB C cords. Update: After several months with this trimmer i want to add that the battery seems to die even when not used. This is frustrating because the charging is very slow. If they released a new version that made charging faster and didn't require a usb a to c cord i would definitely buy and recommend.

Great price. Great performance. Long battery life. Plenty of length settings. I have had this for 2.5 years and it is still performing the same.
