A no-brainer once your large dog's hips go south, especially if you're a little worse for wear as well.
I bought this for my 9.5 year old Great Dane, to help both her and me in getting her in and out of her medium crossover SUV (Infiniti FX35). Somehow, her 145# seemed a lot lighter 10 years ago than recently. Specially with the increasingly frequent trips to the vet .Her hips had been getting more painful , and the nature of my Fx35 with it's low sloping roofline at the back, together with the somewhat high rear lip, meant she had to scrunch down to get in when using the ramp I had during the previous couple years. As her hips became more painful, she developed a wider stance going back down the ramp, sometimes tending to miss the ramp with a back foot, and so I gave up and just resumed picked her up in my arms.Which was fine 10 years earlier. But bad back, knee, humor, hair all meant I needed a better way.So I tried these steps. Got the whole 5 steps to make it as gradual and reassuring as possible for her. I was worried the 18" width would be too narrow, and would far preferred to have an option of steps 3-4" wider. Nevertheless, when it came to going up the stairs, she just walked right up and in-no hesitation after the first 4-5 "familiarization runs" , even with her painful hips. I can't tell you how much better I felt watching her take those steps versus her growing anxiety at the ramp - even thought the ramp was a long on, very rigid and stable, and highly slip resistant. It was even better -FAR FAR BETTER than the ramp - for both of us when she was coming down the stairs. These stairs are NOT light, specially with 5 steps, and the combination of their weight and bulkiness make them a bit hard to lightly just pop into this or that little spot in the back of the car. And, of course, wider steps would have meant an even heavier setup. But I can tell you this was , by head and shoulders, the best I ever used (after 3 Great Danes and 3 decades). Not cheap. Not slim (like a ramp)Not light. But, for me, a no-brainer once your large dog's hips go south, especially if you're a little worse for wear as well.

Awesome
These stairs are outstanding, great product. They work perfect every time, wide enough for my dog to feel comfortable walking out of my semi. Long enough to give the confidence to freely walk in out. I would recommend them to anyone who has a need for them. Thanks again I appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that was manufactured into them.

Happy Dog!
Great way to get our large dog in/out of our truck bed. Served its purpose. Well made, very sturdy and stable for pet. A bit pricey, but we'll worth the money.

Perfect for our great danes!!
It's very sturdy & my danes 150, 160lbs use it without problems. We initially bought a ramp & my danes refused to use it esp. since it didn't give a good grip. My only complaint is that its a little heavy & requires more space to store in the car. So I'm unable to take this when I travel & only use it at home.

Easy to set up and perfect for our RV
This really helped our older dog to get in and out of our RV. It's pretty much light weight very easy to set up and fold up.

Just what I needed.
These adjust in height enough to work for both our full-sized truck, and our mid-sized SUV. They feel sturdy, and we'll built too. Only time will tell how they hold up, but for now I'm very happy. If that changes, I'll update the review accordingly, but as it is, I would recommend them to family and friends.

Easy for dogs to use
Makes loading dogs into large truck a lot easier. Product is a lot heavier than I anticipated, too much for wife to use comfortably. Dogs became accustomed to using it very quickly, much more stable than others I've tried, even at odd angles on rugged terrain. Folds up nicely and doesn't take a lot of space to store.
