My four year old recently got a mid sleeper and we turned the cave into a den, the remote is so simple literally a four year old can work it. She loves she features and spends ages playing with the colours to find the one she wants, I haven't used the timer function as yet but everything else is so easy. They look amazing when up and are lovely and bright without being too bright.My only mistake is I thought they didn't need to be plugged in all the time, I thought (for some daft reason we shall blame on baby brain) that they were rechargeable but that's a tiny issue which doesn't impact on the use at all. The cable is super long and fitted perfectly under the bed, I love them so much I'm trying to decide where else in the house I can fit another set.

We now have two sets of these lights up, and offspring number 3 is getting a set for Christmas. Offspring 2, in his own special way, managed to lose the remote control....Not expecting much, I wrote to customer service to see if I could purchase a replacement (there were some available from different companies online, but I wasn't sure if they would work).Anyway, less than 24 hours later they contacted me and said a replacement would arrive in a few days - and true to their word it did - and gratis too!So, thank you Ollny - thousands of great products on Amazon, but the ones to look out for and the ones that come with customer service above and beyond. Have bought more from them, and will see what else takes my fancy.The lights are great - do exactly what they say they will, and easy to stick up with some clear tape, so they look good too. The kids love them!(sound too good to be true?? Well, it's not, some companies are that good!)

I was really impressed with the brightness of the lights, the range of colours and other setting such as flashing and fading modes. Good length of wire to start of lights too, allowing for accurate positioning. All settings / control functions were easy to use (even my 2 year old worked them out in seconds). Only down side would possibly be that the pink and purple colours (my daughters two favourites) are not quite as bring / clear as the others but overall I think the lights are great value for money.

Very bright lights. In the daylight they can’t really bee seen Unless you look directly at the light but this is to be expected. Unusually, in the daylight the lights look like they are all different colours (when I have them set on one) but at night they are the colour they should be..... must be the way the LEDs mix their colours...... very pleased with the lights and overall look great when they need to and they are very bright.Main downside for us is the IR remote. The receiver for this is next to the USB (another good part) which is great until you attach this to a plug and put it in an outdoor, waterproof socket (as obviously the lights are waterproof but the plug is not). When you do this.... the receiver is obscured by the plug socket and so the remote can not be used u less you are right next to the plug. This would be the case in any plug as it would be out of plain sight..... RF would be Sooooo much better. I don’t know why so many of these types of lights still use IR remotes making them so limiting. We will have to find a way around this.Other than this great lights. They will stay on one colour or fade through colours.

The media could not be loaded.  My daughter wanted these lights for her bedroom. Excellent value for money. I used my staple gun to staple them to the ceiling, round the perimeter of the room. Lots of colours and settings to choose from. The remote is very simple, as my daughter shows in the video. She loves them, and would definitely buy again.

These lights took great, out of the box they have a usb plug , you will need an old phone charger or computer to power them which is easy, it also means they are really low powered and safe!! The remote control works flawlessly or you can uss the button on the lights to change the colour sequence or choose between colours.The plastic rope these are fitting into feels nice and sturdy and allows for easy fitting indoors or out.Highly recommended.

I ordered these lights 9 days before Christmas as my old set of rope lights failed. They were delivered the next day. Although they worked properly when I unpacked them the remote control appeared to have failed when the lights were erected. I e-mailed Ollny and received a very fast response from Lucy who dispatched a remote replacement. Sadly the problem persisted which indicated a fault in the USB receiver rather than the remote control. I e-mailed Lucy who, again, replied promptly and dispatched a new set of lights which work perfectly. It is always easy to praise a product but what impressed me more than anything was the service I received. Customer service is a rare commodity these days but I cannot praise Ollny and Lucy enough. I now have a superb, working, product and our Christmas was saved by Ollny’s impressive response. The lights are very impressive and I would highly recommend them to anybody to enhance their Christmas decorations. Thank you Ollny and thank you Lucy. Regards, Graham

Lovely lights look gorgeous all spectrums of colour,The remote only seems to work at about 2 meters away from the lights.The strange things is NO PLUG PROVIDED !! Only a USB fitting, the USB fitting is not waterproof which does say on the instructions,Debating whether to send it back or just use them indoors ?
