Nice overview - 2nd half is too statistical vs practical
The first half of this textbook was a nice overview of the bankruptcy process and helpful for students or banking professionals. The second half was too academic in my opinion and spent a lot of time of the statistical side of things which is not as practical for most professionals in the industry l.

Digital version is cumbersome
Can't view as a PDF, so you're locked into this terrible on-screen reader. I love kindle for novels, but not for textbooks. Just produce a PDF with the pages laid out exactly is the the original textbook.

Academic
Very academic book quoting various academic studies. Fine for some high level information but not a practitioner's perspective.

Best book on Leveraged Finance
This is perhaps the best book on leveraged finance that I have ever read. Written by the world-renowned writer, it is very well worth the money. And the best thing is that the price is very reasonable.

This is the most comprehensive and cutting edge book on bankruptcy
This is an awesome book for a broad audience, not only for academics but also for practitioners. The book has broadened my view and deepened my understanding of bankruptcy, distress investing, high-yield bond, etc, which is a niche that deserves more attention! The authors have devoted delegated efforts in putting the most up-to-date cases, summary statistics and most importantly provided a big picture of this field. I benefitted a lot from reading this book and will read it over and over again as it is super well-written and rich in content!

This is the best and most updated book for bankruptcy
This is the book for people who want to learn about bankruptcy and distress finance. The book is written by three top scholars in the filed. However, this book is great for both academia and practitioner. The book covers almost every aspect about distressed finance, including law, regulations, finance etc. Besides, the cases and papers quoted in the book are well chosen and extremely helpful. I believe this is the best book I have ever read not only in distressed finance but in finance world. High quality, low price, the book should be a "must"!
