Great Bass for the player with normal hands!
After tuning it, I tried it out. It's great having a smaller bass with great sound like this Ibanez! It looks great, sounds good, and is responsive. One of the best things is that it's on the smaller side, enough that those of us who aren't wide receivers or have long fingers can easily play it! I'm thrilled I spent a little more to get an Ibanez over the lower-priced basses. The price is still very reasonable, and Ibanez has an excellent reputation for quality instruments.

Great bass sound, in compact package
Great bass when a more compact size is needed. It's basically the same size as a guitar. I replaced the strings on mine with flat wounds, bc I prefer that kind of sound. Easy, and the strings that came with it, are quality rounds. Tuners are quality and work well holding tune. I didn't need any setup, the neck was flat and perfect distance set at bridge. It's a great bass, and only the top 1% could hear the difference. I have a full size Yamaha, and they sound nearly identical. I do like feel like the single coildnp and j pickups are little low on the quality side, but for this price, I think they're right on the money (pun intended).

A real joy to play, not just for beginners or kids.
Although I also play full scale bass guitars, this fun little short-scale bass is a real joy to play. It looks, feels and sounds great and plays like a dream. Great value and quality for the price. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommended for both beginners and experienced players.

Solid Bass
Good product at the price point. Body and neck seem well made, pickups give good output and sound quality. Frets reasonably dressed with no sharpness. Like the weight and ease of handling, much less of a workout than a full size P bass. Only negative are the strings - they are absolutely awful, feel sharp and noisy even for round wounds. Changing them out for D’addario flat wounds right away. Just to stress what other reviewers have said - although it is short scale this bass is not a toy, you can get good deep punchy tones just a lot easier on the hands and arms than a regular bass.

The Guitar Player's Perfect Guilty Pleasure Short Scale Bass!
Just my opinion, but this just might be the guitar player's perfect guilty pleasure short scale bass! With its remarkably short 28" scale, it's so comfortable, balanced, light & easy to play! Amazingly inexpensive. Flawless fit & finish (at least mine was right out of the box - and in a really gorgeous matte slightly textured weathered black finish w/all black hardware). Just one minor out of the box issue - slight buzzing, but only on the E string and only when fretting the E on the first fret. So, possibly the second fret needed/needs minor dressing - but that was more than I wanted to attempt, so instead I simply raised the E string a hair at the bridge and the buzz was instantly gone, with no effect on E string volume that I could detect. The pickups sound fine to me. A true little gem at a truly bargain price. (Note - the gig bag was not included - it was a separate purchase - but for the price what can you expect?!)

Buy it. You wont regret it
I almost didn't buy the Mikro but now I dont know if I'll ever pick up the full size again! The short scale fits me so much better and way lighter. Im not sure how ibanez makes such quality instruments at low cost, (Comparatively.) No set up needed. Just tuned and played

Child-sized but I’m happy
I ordered this guitar on a whim because I was looking for an electric bass and they had a used, very good for a substantial discount. So, I pulled the trigger. Glad that I did. The guitar is very small, but pretty and plays so easily. I am an accomplished guitarist and keyboard player on piano and organ and play in bands. I needed a bass guitar to do some recording. This will do just fine. I would not be ashamed to appear in public playing this either.

Since my bass playing is rare nowadays, I wanted to make it easier to grab the guitar and start playing. So I decided to change my older Ibanez to this smaller one. I haven’t regretted the decision. This does just about everything as its bigger brothers do. The sound is great and playing is so much easier now. The quality is great, fretboard is just right and potentiometers do their job well. I really recommend this to anyone who wants to play bass, but the normal-sized feels a bit too much to handle.

Um ibanez dispensa comentários. Que baixo incrível e com um som muito bom. Eu só não me atentei na descrição que se tratava de um baixo 3/4, mas tudo bem, amei o som dele.
