Great Starter Kit
Really great Kit. Was happy to get it growing when it arrived. However, the juniper seeds were missing, but after contacting the seller and speaking with Darren, they sent some replacements. Can already see the sweet gum and pine growing. Can not fault the service. Great product and easy to follow instructions.

Brilliant little kit
I left a previous review before using the kit but it was only on setting it up that we realized just how ingenious it is. It is neat, light and easy to post as it will fit through a letter box. It is supplied with more seeds than you need for the kit itself, but not so many that you end up with silly quantities of small plants. Very clear labelling and instructions make it a doddle to set up - once the coir pellets have rehydated it takes minutes owing to the clever design of the cells. Being bottomless they sit in a base tray, which should make watering easier, plus they unfold once the seedlings are large enough to pot up, another clever touch. That it's peat free and recyclable is also a positive.

Didn't take long to start to see growth
I was sceptical after reading some of the reviews. But surprised that these seeds are actually great all except the chives have sprouted yet but given time they will come. Can't wait for them to grow fully and start using them.

Don't buy, missing plant variety and seeds don't grow.
Poor product, don't buy. Was a gift and only one cactus started growing then died. Followed instructions to a t. These are very deceiving as most of the time you are sold rubbish which are not the seeds to grow anything. One of the plant variety wasn't even given in the box. Very disappointing, DON'T BUY, you will be wasting your money. Go to a flower and garden centre.

Instructions unclear at time of purchase
The biggest "gotcha" when you unpack this set and read the instructions pamphlet is that two of the seeds types (juniper and larch) need to be "wintered" by sticking them in the fridge for three whole months before planting. Yes, really. This means that unless you set this up three months in advance, you're probably not going to have all five types growing at once in the display stand.I chose to make a start on the types that do not need to be wintered - the pine, redbud and sweet gum. Of these, only the pine seeds germinated. They look *nothing* like the photos in the product description, by the way. Presumably some other type of seedlings has been photoshopped in.Lastly, the amount of each type of seed you receive varies wildly. Some contain just enough seeds for a single attempt, while others (like the pine) seem to shower you in seeds. It's a nice gift *idea*, but the three month wintering stipulation for the Juniper and Larch seeds makes it impractical to try again if the seeds do not germinate on the first attempt. At the time of writing this review, it has been three months since I purchased this kit. I have just attempted to plant the juniper and larch seeds. Fingers crossed that they do better then the redbud and sweet gum.
