Just what I needed
I am a very amatuer mechanic, collector of classic and racing cars, and have a large property that I maintain with several tractors a riding mower and a UTV so I have a lot of maintainance, repair, and restoration to do. I have made it a policy to do as much work as I can by myself rather than paying a professional to do it. If the job is beyond my capability then it goes to the pros, but if it is for lack of a tool, then I buy the tool and do it myself.Such is the case when I went to change the oil on a tractor only to find the drain plug was rounded off. After considereing several tools I decided on the Irwin Industrial Tools 13-Piece 54113 Professional's Industrial Extractor Set. PArtly because of several preceding good reviews, partly because the price was excellent, partly because of the number of extractors, and partly because it is a professional quality tool. The day it arrived I extracted the offending plug. Easy and no problem. I expect to use this tool only occassionally, but when I need it it will save a lot of wasted time.Seller shipped promptly and included a "gift" with the item.

Oscar Winner first role
I'm in the middle of a mondo brake job on my 2010 Mazda 3 with 159K miles in New England.I'm doing calipers this time along with rotors and pads.A 14mm bolt for a cast caliper bracket-hanger froze, and its nut-head started rounding under force. Heat from a plumber's torch didn't work to help it along. This 14mm-9/16" extractor socket did the work instantaneously. Bolt out. Bracket off.I like that there are 2 options in turning these sockets- 3/8" square drive and a hex rim you can put a wrench on.I think the Rocket-Socket business of "oh the hex rim gets in the way, ours are slim line all the way down the socket wall!!" is hyped bs.These aren't cheap. I read a lot of good reviews here. I was tempted to try the even more expensive SK Turbo socket set at $141 special sale. I stayed with these based on the reviews.Interestingly, there was one YouTuber, happy guy, who reviewed a bunch of bolt extractor sets(Irwin, Rocket Socket, Gearwrench, SnapOn, etc.) for 2022 I think it was. And he broke one of these Irwin sockets. We'll see. I was impressed though.

Great w/ one flaw... sort of
The media could not be loaded. Works great on stubborn mangled nuts, bolts & studs. After seating the tool properly, the grip strength is amazing in the unloosening direction. The durability of these extractors is phenomenal. I used one and couldn't even tell which one I had used!! With a good variety of sizes to complete most removals one would encounter. The 3/8" drive on the back could be better suited if it were 1/2" on the larger sized ones.

Worked like a dream, thoroughly recommend
This was my last chance to remove a rounded oil drain plug on my Suzuki SX4 before considering drilling out the plug. It look less than one minute to remove the plug using this tool, with no damage to the tool. I'm pleased to have this as a backup for future bolt removing problems.

paid for itself in one job.
Some idiot installed low grade bolts on my bayliner's engine in a saltwaer environment. :-( ...Successfully removed 3 bolts with heads rusted off, then spun a rusty head off an exhaust manifold bolt one inch down the shaft. (see pic),-- broke the bolt at the block using the 9/16 extractor (good thing, not bad) then after removing the manifold, I was able to bite the remaining shaft with a smaller extractor in the set by hammering it onto the shaft... --paid for itself right there... I'm very happy! (metal seems nice and hard, too, btw... only a little wear and tear on the splines, even though I hammered the extractor onto the shaft.)

The local mechanic recommended that I go and have bolts welded and then ...
These items were by no means cheap. However, they got the job done. I had stripped hex bolts on my front end hub of my isuzu 4x4 double cab. The local mechanic recommended that I go and have bolts welded and then remove the stripped bolts. I ordered this item. I used an extended breaker bar and sure enough broke the two bolts that were stripped free. As it turned out the prior mechanic had filled the bolts with hardex gasket maker all over the bolts, etc. The bolt removers instantly grabbed on and pulled the bolt right off. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend this product. I would recommend getting all of the bolt strippers and not the abbreviated version which is cheaper, because guaranteed you will need the one that does not come with it.
