The important quality for me was that the board be fully functional. The largest size is a good commonly-available size and is a good 3.75 cm (1.5”) thick. Best seems to use one side for cutting and the monogrammed side for display. Because of the monogram, the surface no longer is even enough for chopping. But the monogram came out great, and I wouldn’t want to ruin its look. I liked this more than I thought I would and am giving it as a wedding gift with a nice knife. Well more creative than just a gift from the registry and a much more reasonable price than a whole place setting of china.
