My 13-YO smoke detector failed. I was going to replace its batteries for the 3rd time in less than 3 years but the battery read 90%, so I dumped the unit. I wanted a 10-Y detector, but found none under $30 that were multi-station, UL listed, so I opted for this one because it was so low cost, yet UL, multi-station, and I figured I can always buy a 10-Y alkaline battery when the battery the unit came with dies. I'm an EE, so I appreciate the well thought out design of the green and red LED status indicators which let you test it and provide a visual status 24/7! I'd buy more, but I don't hoard, so I'll just go back to Amazon when the next detector fails or just ask Alexa to reorder! Amazon does JIT, so why sweat the small crisis in life! I'll revise this if anything changes, but you can't give more than 100% - if you do, you were holding back or your alma mater failed you! :->

Pleased with my purchase. 2 of my smoke detector died and I needed to replace. Had gone to Home Depot and bought 1 like I had but even with a fresh battery it didn't work, not sure what was going on. Decided to give this one a shot. Installation as far as putting battery in, placing back piece on and putting on ceiling were super easy. Tested it and works well. Going to buy my 2nd one.

The screws and anchors to mount it are stored in the backup battery compartment. It includes the battery, so you will discover them when you insert the battery, provided you didn’t already install the mounting plate with your old screws like I did.UPDATE: 10 months later and zero false alarms. I was worried about that after reading reviews of other systems. I would definitely buy this again.

We ordered 4 alarms and apparently we received a bad batch because 2 of them didn't work properly. That said, the seller worked with us to provide replacements. If not for the issue of the defective alarms this would have been a 5 star review. After getting the replacements everything worked as it should. I would buy again from the seller knowing that if there are any issues it will be remedied.

Easy to install but forgot a reviewer mentioned the screws needed for installation are in the battery compartment. That’s a little frustrating as you wouldn’t normally open that until it’s installed. Other than that no issues so far.

This product was easy to install. We purchased these as a replacement for fire alarms that were over ten years old. The purchase was a three-pack of alarms. One of the alarms stopped working after 8 months of use. The seller was contacted and a no-charge replacement alarm was sent and received within days. We will purchase products from this seller again in the future, and are comfortable recommending this product based on our customer experience and their customer service.

It was fairly easy to install. It wasn't really compatible with the location of the screws from the old wired in alarm. I had to drill new holes. All in all it was pretty simple and it works.

Matched straight up to my original wiring. I did have to change out the mounting brackets with the new mounting plate. But that was no big issue. The price was great. And it works as it should.
