Top Quality Monitor, Great Price & Highly Recommended
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I've been using this monitor now a couple days and I'm very pleased with this high quality and well built monitor screen quality insane. The monitor is plastic but is very solid and not some cheap plastic which can feel bad. The mounting bracket is metal and is very strong. In the box you get everything that you need:1 Product Manual1 Foldable Sun Shade Hood2 x HDMI Cables (1 Mini & 1 Mico to HDMI)1 Mounting Bracket1 USB Cable1 Battery and Battery Charger1 Product Manual1 F5 Camera MonitorCharging the batter only takes a few hrs, then once you put the battery in and turn on the monitor for the first time, you'll notice that this 1080p 16:9 screen is quite bright. You have plenty of options in the setting for colour, contrasts, sharpness, zebras, histogram, false colour, including focus peaking, and many more. If your shooting out side in the sun, then I highly recommend you attach the sun shade hood to stop screen glareYou can buy additional batteries for the monitor and NP-F550, 750 or 950 all fits, so you have good options on the type of batteries too. You can also power it via a optional DC 12V adaptor. You attach the monitor to the bracket via the cold shoe mount located on the side and then you can attach the bracket to your shoe mount on you camera. The other good thing is you can also attach another shoe device onto the side of the bracket too. Also, not only are you getting the standard HDMI IN but there is also a HDMI Out port so you can run to an external recorder ot another monitor if you need to. There's also a headphone out port on the bottom, if you like to monitor the sound. On top of the monitor, it has all the controls to access the menus, which are really easy to use and well marked. You also get 1 year guarantee & 24 hours customer contact support too, if you need them.Overall, this is a fantastic, lightweight camera monitor and all for a great price.

ESDDI F5 Camera Monitor - What a great piece of kit...!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Usage – I have been using the ESDDI F5 On Camera Monitor for a few days now and I am more than delighted with it. It has made my life so much easier, and as my eyesight is starting to fade a little each year with age, it’s made using my Nikon D7000 a pleasure again! The operation for me, after initial setup, is so simple for me as I use the monitor as is. I love the ability to connect my headphones and listen while I’m recording, using the on-Monitor volume control, and during playback; it enables me to vet the recorded content on the fly, which is really useful. I haven’t used it yet, but especially like the fact I can connect a 2nd monitor because I intend to use my camera for recording and this enables me to connect a static monitor for onlookers to view. I will definitely be purchasing the DC Power Cables as suggested in the manual because that will allow me to keep either the Monitor and/or the Camera Powered at all times when either of their batteries runs out of juice. I would also be able to power up using my cars cigarette lighter connection. I am still mesmerized by the clarity, detail and brightness of the ESDDI F5; I just love it…!As you can see, I have created a video which includes a Usage run-through and an un-boxing. The Usage Video starts at 00:00 and the un-boxing starts at 09:34, & ends at 19:50. I’ve edited the video this way around because some of you may simply want to see how to use the Monitor and sundries first, and some of you may also be interested in the un-boxing.I really enjoyed un-boxing the ESDDI F5 5” Monitor. I was impressed with many aspects, including the quality of the box, the ease in which I was able to remove the lid and the way the contents were packaged and packed.- The Box is made of good quality strong, thick and solid Cardboard which would do a great job at protecting the Monitor in transit.- The Lid came off quite easily after grabbing both sides and allowing the weight of the box contents to slowly lower themselves to the table (see video). As the lid is such a good fit it is held on with air pressure from the bottom of the box, so no danger of accidentally coming off.- Content Packaging is excellent. The foam and cardboard protection is designed very well to do just that, protect the contents (see pictures).- The Contents include all the items you would expect, and even a little more (see videos and pictures). I was very impressed with each and every item, especially the build quality and ease of understanding of what each item is for.- The Monitor is very well built and great quality. It is made of plastic, but it is sturdy & strong and obviously very well designed. The printed writing is nicely finished and the Connections are very solid when cables have been inserted; each connection hits home with a satisfying click or clunk. There are various connections, including 2 x HDMI, 2 x Power (in/out), 1 x Headphone and 1 x USB Mini for Firmware Updates. There are several heat vents on the reverse of the Monitor, which do a great job at dissipating the small amount heat. The battery socket on the back is nicely centralised to aid the balance of weight; the Monitor sits well when held. The Buttons are multi-function, depending on whether the OSD is on or off. 2 of the Buttons, F1 & F2, are programable with 1 each of several functions, as listed in the instructions.- The Screen/Display is the perfect size for me at 5 inches. Any larger and it would not sit well atop my camera. The screen is very clear indeed, with no bleeding, no blur, no fuzz as you sometimes see on the lower value screens. Live view and playback were equally as clear and Full HD quality was just that, Full HD. The ESDDI F5 does support up to 4K, but I do not have any 4K equipment, so cannot test that. I could not fault the screen quality if I tried! The OSD is intuitive and very easy to follow & navigate and times out when idle for a time.- The Monitor Mounting Bracket is very cleanly designed and light, being made of aluminium. It as a Hot Shoe Mount and a further Hot Shoe attachment Mount to the side, which is very useful indeed, for attaching such things as a flash or a microphone for example. The design is very sturdy, light and precise. When the Monitor is fitted it sits very well and does not move at all.- The Cables are numerous and relevant. There are 2 x HDMI Cables, 1 with HDMI to HDMI Mini and 1 x HDMI to HDMI Micro, depending on the camera you are fitting it to. There is a USB to USB Micro cable for connecting the Charger to a USB Charge Outlet, such as the Mains for a Battery Power Supply.- The Battery and Charger are of very good quality and design. The Batter fits snuggly both in the back of the Monitor and the Charger. Attaching the Battery is very straight forward, by placing the battery in the Monitor/Charger and sliding the Battery on to the two Pins (see pictures and videos). The Battery and Charger have been built with very good quality materials. As I mentioned in my video, you can purchase further batteries for the Monitor, which increases the life on the street so to speak.- The Instructions are intuitive and very straight forward. You cannot go wrong with them. Each element of the Monitor and accessories are covered and ESDDI have even gone one step further by suggesting items to enhance the F5 Monitor. There are several languages catered for, so you should be ok, although I cannot comment on the accuracy of the non-English languages as I do not read them.- My Conclusion is that this is a very impressive, well built, feature rich, great quality screen and easy to use piece of kit, that solves a big problem for me, and I know I will spend many hours benefitting from using it, which I look forward to…!
