Perfect replacement part
Direct replacement part works perfectly. These are very hard to find. Mine have worked for 20 years. thumbs up for Amazon. Also, there are some very cheesy plastic ones available that are not very good. I am currently working on an RV that has that type. Do not confuse these good metal ones with the plastic.

Works great
Much better quality than the all plastic ones I replaced in my RV.

Functional But Could be Better
These work, but definitely a low bid product. The worst part are the inadequate screws. The are low quality and the pivot screw is too small diameter and way too short. I drilled out the holes in the support to accept a #6 screw and used one 1 1/2" long. That will work much better. I also used bigger screws for the door mounting plate. They are very hard to operate so I applied some silicon lubricant. Works fairly well now.

I know there's a formula for this installation that should have been included with the package
I have a cabinet maker of 40 years I've been doing high and Architectural Millwork for 25 of those years. I know the cabinet doors overlay at the top and on the sides at various dimensions. So I understand a specific instruction would not apply to all cases. However there has to be a formula based on the opening height and how much the door overlays the top rail of the cabinet. So on my mind instructions providing that formula would be helpful even to me as a cabinetmaker with 40 years experience was installed all kinds of weird Hardware there's always been instructions with a base Point reference point yada yada yada. It won't be the first time I've had to figure this kind of thing out so once I do I will provide the formula so future purchasers of this product can I install it just once instead of hit and miss which is probably what I'm going to have to do if I can't figure out the geometry on paper. So at this point having not installed the hardware I'm going to give it a one cuz I don't know how it's going to perform once I have it installed test it out perhaps I will review it with a higher number

Work Fine
There was nothing on the overhead cabinet doors in my travel trailer to hold them open and that was no good. I ran across these on Amazon and decided to try them. Installation was easy, everything to mount them was in the package. I haven't used them much yet, I am concerned because they are plastic, but time will tell, just have to use them gently. There were no instructions, which would have been nice, but use your common sense and you can figure it out. Be careful, though, how you locate them, there is only 1 inch of travel, and if you don't position them correctly, they will reach the travel limit before it pivots in far enough to allow the door to close.

Exact fit for my RV cabinets
these were an exact match/fit for my inside cabinets. The weak point is the rivet holding the piston to the bracket so buy extra to have on hand.

Poor quality
Ordered these for our R V. Cabinets. There fine. Plastic. Maake sure you measure and screw the screw correctly the first time. Impossible to remove screws once in as the metal is so soft the screw driver strips the screw. Serves its purpose but you get what you pay for

Terrible quality
First of all, the included screws were awful. The heads stripped when trying to install them. Had to use my own Robertson (square) head screws. Finally got it installed on my RV kitchen cupboard door . It's a small door and should only require one support. It did not hold the door open and when closed the plastic shaft just ended up bending like a piece of licorice. Bought the all metal version and it worked fine (still had to use my own screws).

Good Replacement
This worked as a replacement for my other broken gas struts.
