Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Basic Terrain Multi-pack

International shipping was quick, the product is complete and in perfect condition. My group was very happy when I brought these mats. The mats' size is quite large and more than enough for our encounters. The quality feels sturdy enough so they will last us for a long time. And there are two mats, so if one is ever damaged, there is another one. We especially like that there is nothing drawn on the mats, so our GM is completely free to draw anything. We used white board markers to draw on them. The color erases very well with a simple tissue. So well that one has to be careful not to accidentally wipe out markings with their fingers, which gives me confidence that the colors won't stick too much.

Worked great. Accodentally used permanent marker, went over it with dry erase, and it came right off like the instructions said. Only complaint is the print is a little dark. Would be nice if background was lighter so marker shows up better.

These are a great idea, and the drawings and variety make it a great, versatile, all around map pack. However, they're thin and flimsy, and will quickly crease, break, and stain. Not heavy duty at all, and quite expensive considering it's just basically thick paper, not even cardboard. Also doesn't lay flat, creases lift and figures always sit awkwardly around the lines, if at all. A great solution to the problem of durability is to buy a clear sheet of plexiglass from Home Depot and use it on top of this. You can cut it to size to fit the maps exactly. It not only holds down and straightens it, but you can also use markers on the plexiglass instead. Allows you to use the nice prints on these maps with minimal wear and tear to the map itself.

These are a no-brainer. I have two Chessex vinyl mega-battlemats, and I have used them for many years. These take it to the next level, by adding in some textures which help set the mood. They are smaller than I would like (24" x 30"), but they're still useable, at a good price. I tried using both wet-erase, and dry-erase markers. The dry-erase left behind an outline which could be seen looking at the glare from the surface, but this is a minor quibble. They claim permanent markers can be removed by going over them with a dry-erase marker, then immediately wiping... I did not try it, but if you have this problem, perhaps you can make use of their suggestion? Would most definitely recommend these: great product at a great price. Cheers!

I chose these over a map that can roll up because I like being able to control the size of the map, especially since I have limited table space. The biggest problem with them being foldable is that they have some trouble lying flat. Heavy scatter terrain or scene decoration is a good way to fix this, or you could tape or sticky tack it to the table. If all else fails, you could just place 4 heavy things on the corners and call it good. Buy them!

I already owned one mat before purchasing these an it worked well enough, but once I started having more campaigns and those campaigns would be higher level campaigns where the players would write down more stats like spells, hp, etc. or we had to leave off in the middle of a battle, it became rather tedious to have to erase and re-write everything each time we would come back to a campaign. Having multiple mats allowed me to save our immediate progress and things the players wanted to remember on each mat. Also the different terrain textures on the mats allow for the setting to be a little more visual and match the terrain the players are in to help remind me of certain terrain speeds and whatnot. Also, when the players have long ranged weapons/abilities or there is a huge area for battles, putting multiple maps together allows for more space to use

I love pathfinder flip mats. They can be used over and over again. I use permanent markers on them regularly and it comes right off with cleaner or using a dry erase marker. They are beautifully detailed and colored. Be aware that if you are using a spray cleaner to remove marker, I recommend spraying it on a rag, and then wiping your map. If you spray too close to the edges and liquid gets between the protective layers, the paper will start to separate and warp.

These would be AWESOME if they weren't packaged by folding them up... this results in a permanent crease that has to be eased out with mild heat and pressure so the map will lay flat. I used a towel and a clothes iron on low heat. Worked OK.Aside from that the quality is good and you get exactly what is pictured.

The set consists of 2 sided ‘mats’ with different designs printed on them: Forest, water and two stone tile prints.Problem is that many places the print is so dark in color, that it is hard to see the marker lines, that you draw on the mats :/Also, they are pretty thick, which makes them fairly robust, but very hard to flatten out and keep down when in use. Results in mini figs toppling over.

Le vendeur a averti de l'envoi du colis et a prisxdes nouvelles de la reception plusieurs fois. On constate une attitude professionnel dans l'envoi et le suivi. Les flip-mat sont en carton et ont évidemment des plis mais cela ne pose pas de problème au traçage avec les marqueurs.

Esta bastante bien, cumple la descripción. La única "pega" son los dobleces, pero es normal. Yo lo dejo siempre desplegado y acaban por aplanarse. Fácil de borrar y muy útil para las campañas

In a world where it can be frustratingly difficult to kit oneself with D&D materials (like, why don't WOTC sell these kind of mats as official D&D merchandise?), I searched for a long time before settling on these. And I have no regrets.The 4 terrains are incredibly useful (I've used 'em all many times in my campaign). Easy to draw & erase whiteboard marker on these mats. They're durable. They fold neatly into easily-storable size. Really can't find anything wrong with them.Eventually they might get a bit crinkled at the edges and along the fold seams, but there's years of tabletop battles to be fought on these before you'd even need to consider getting new ones.
