Thrilling and Intense!
Alice Feeney has outdone herself again. I’m always on the lookout for thriller books that are presented from a new perspective and this one takes the cake. The ending was AMAZING and leaves the reader feeling with the sinking stomach sensation. One can only hope we’ll have a follow up book to SIL; a MUST READ!

Surprising twist
The surprise twist had me reflecting and rereading the earlier chapters. I didn’t see it coming and I’d like to think I’m pretty good at guessing.

Good, but Confusing Book
This writer is superb, but the book was confusing. It had alternate timelines, story lines, characters thinking they were other characters etc. I finished with way more questions than answers. I don't know if that's what this author was trying to do?

What a story
Considering the protagonist is in a coma for most of the book, this was wild. I found one curious character. When and why did Digby show up?The last page literally gave me chills. The hairs on my arms are still standing straight up.If you love weird psychological thrillers, this is a good one.

Left My Head Spinning
This book was so slow until it wasn’t!! About halfway through the action picks up and it’s one shocking twist after another. The ending left my head spinning, questioning everything I read which I suppose is intentional and I honestly kind of love it! I wouldn’t exactly say that I’m confused, but I certainly have questions and feel like I need to read the book again knowing the ending for all the pieces to fall into place. What a wild ride!

Whiplash with a side of creepiness!!
Sheer brilliance in novel form. It is hard to believe that this was Alice Feeny’s first published book. This quick read of intertwined storylines has you questioning yourself and your interpretation of what you has already happened. Using diary entries to toy with the time line and the internal monologue of mis-told nursery rhymes makes your skin crawl the deeper you dive into Amber’s life and world right down to the very last word. If this is what Alice Feeny was able to accomplish at the beginning of her career, I can’t wait to catch up on everything else that she has written!!

Definitely worth the read :)
Slow at first but picks up towards the middle of the book. A big predictable but the twist mid book dropped my jaw. Definitely worth the read :)

3.5/5 rounded up
I am noticing with Alice Feeney’s book it never what you think it’s gonna be and that’s a good thing for sure. Her books are sometimes confusing as hell but then it just all comes together in the end.
