The Wireless Automation System (WAS) is a 900 MHz radio frequency network with integrated I/Os that can operate in most environments while eliminating the need for wiring runs. Systems are built around a Gateway, which acts as the wireless network master device, and one or more Nodes. Additional Nodes (80442N) can be added to expand the range (4 miles) & capabilities of the Wireless Automation System. Each Node can be connected to a sensor or output device and report back the state of the I/O to the Gateway. The WAS has 4 discrete inputs, 4 discrete (sourcing) outputs, 2 analog inputs & two analog outputs. The system combines Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) control architecture to ensure reliable data delivery within the unlicensed ISM bands. The transceivers provide 2-way communication between the Gateway and Node, including fully acknowledged data transmission and site survey analyses. Lost RF links are detected, and relevant outputs set to user-defined conditions. Possible Applications: Control of pumps, conveyors, lights, alarm systems & more. PLC activation, flow rate & tank monitoring, data logging and wireless automation. Specifications: Radio: 900MHz, FCC Part 15 Compliant (License Free), Inputs: 4 Dry Contact Inputs (switch), 2 Analog Inputs: Rating- 24mA, Sample Rate- 62.5ms, Report Rate- 1 Second or on Change of State (1%), Accuracy- 0.1% of Full Scale .01% per C. Outputs- Relay Outputs: 4 Class C Relays Rated 6A @ 250V. 2 Analog Inputs: Update Rate 125ms, Accuracy 0.1% of full scale .01% per C. WAS System Contains: Gateway 80442G, Node 80442N, (2) NEMA 4X Enclosure including 100-240VAC universal power supply with 24VDC output, (2) Omni-directional 6dB high gain antenna with mounting brackets, (2) Lightning/Surge arrestor, (2) 25' length of coaxial cable with "N" type connectors, (4) 24VDC class "C" relays
