WAS Gateway In a Wireless Automation System (WAS) the gateway device works as the master within each radio network system. The gateway initiates communication and reporting with the node. Additional gateways and nodes can be arranged to extend the range (4 miles) of the network or to avoid obstacles in the transmissions path. The transceivers provide two-way communication between the gateway and node including fully acknowledged data transmissions. Site survey analyzes the network's signal strength and reliability. Lost RF links are detected and relevant outputs are set to user-defined conditions. Possible Applications: Control of pumps, conveyors, lights alarm systems & more. PLC activation, flow rate & tank monitoring, data logging and wireless automation.
