Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Retreat!

The start of season 3 (had to look this up btw).After the events of season 2, the damage(s) done and the battle’s aftermath, our heroes are forced to retreat to a farm to recover. Funny enough, trouble follows them wherever they go, which you’ll see.I really enjoyed this season, I’m trying real hard to not spoil anything for people new to this series or also wanting their TMNT fix.But it is littered with nods to the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie (The 90’s version. Not the Bay movies.) with the farm, the turtle in the bathtub, some of the chemistry.It’s also littered with so many film references, spoofs, or homages. Ranging from Napoleon Dynamite to a handful of scary movies.Which with them being on a farm or an area with a woods like scenery this was an awesome touch and had me hooked all the more. One turtle is also shaken and a bit defeated a majority of the episodes this set, so maybe you’ll see that as some character development.It’s also the season where they brought in a new voice actor for Leonardo (think Biggs said some things and Nickelodeon wanted to wash their hands of it.) this part was a bummer.Seth Green voicing Leonardo just wasn’t for me, yet. By the time I get through this series maybe my mind will change, but if he was to voice a turtle in general I’d prefer it wasn’t the Leonardo or Raphael. It’s minor but I wish they got someone that sounded more like the previous voice actor instead.After this collection you should brace yourself for the turtles to “RETURN TO NYC”

So the lean green fighting machines leave the "comfort" of their sewer home and head for the old O'Neil farm out in the country and away from New York City where they end up having some pretty radical misadventures. This is a great series that any die-hard fan should really enjoy. It also has a lot of cheeky pop horror homages in it that will tickle and thrill fans. My only complaint is that the production team missed out on their opportunity showing Casey Jones trying to eat corn on the cob. Booyakasha!

The show is still pretty OK, I just wish they would release the next collection of Season 3 episodes already.

I grew up with the TMNT so I thought to give a try with my kids. After the first episode we were all hooked up to the series!

Wore out the first one. My boys love these... so had to replace it.

テレビ東京で２０１４年金曜朝に放送されていたアニメ「ミュータント・タートルズ」（シーズン１）。シーズン２以降は日本では未放送（２０１５年４月現在）ですが、こちらはシーズン３　第１話〜第７話まで収録されています。音声英語のみ、字幕なし。わけあってニューヨークを離れて郊外に一時退避中ですが、ミュータジェンをかぶった動物たちとすったもんだあります。シーズン２最後のハードモードからまた以前のコミカルモードに戻った感じで、楽しい。エイプリルの過去、母親のことも出てきます。だけどニューヨークに残してきたスプリンター先生やカライは一体…？続きが気になります。
