Works. But difficult to open back panel to free the mouse.
While these work, the back panel was difficult to slide off to free the mouse. Even while holding the trap at a straight vertical, the mouse kept trying to climb up as I struggled to remove the panel. I had grippy gloves on but those didn't seem to make it easier. So I kept shaking the trap to keep the mouse down & that added to the hassle of trying to open the trap. Also, ideally, I needed to transport the traps to free the mice away from my home. I didn't always & just flung the mouse (on to grass; I didn't hurt the mice!) over the retaining wall. Perhaps I was trapping the same few mice repeatedly?! 😆Overall, a lot of effort, a bit of a pain, but they are humane. After a few weeks of using them to trap less than a dozen mice, I took a neighbor's suggestion to place Bounce dryer sheets around the small area. I tore strips of the dryer sheets, placed them shallowly in the burrows, covered with the existing mulch; also placed around my garage; and I haven't seen the mice around.I'm not a fan of allowing the dryer sheet chemicals leach into the ground, but I have a tiny isolated mulched area on the side of my townhome & I would just like to keep the mice away.

mice eat the the door catch rendering trap useless, but great concept
Great concept except that the lever inside needs to be made of metal. The most recent two I bought in May are now useless since the mice I caught ate the little lip that sticks up on the platform that holds the door open. However, I was able to catch quite a few mice before this happened. If you plan to stay up to catch your mice, these work well. Put them out a couple of hours before bedtime and hope you catch one before bedtime. If you plan to go to bed and hope to find a mouse in the morning, drop some cheerios into the back of the trap, not just in the removable end piece( I don't use peanut butter at all--its a mess to clean) This way if the mouse is in there for a few hours, he can chew on the cheerios and maybe he will be less inclined to chew the latch. I hope though that the manufacturer will work on this issue, because I hate contributing to plastic in the environment.

Smaller than you think but it works!
I bought 4 of these yesterday because I discovered mouse droppings in my garage. I had a single trap from Home Depot, but after catching 4 mice in 3 days, I decided to up my game. We don't want to kill them, so these seemed like a good addition to the tiny mouse BnB I already had.I used a tiny bit of peanut butter and a few kibbles of dog food directly on the lever. I read reviews and it seems really messy to glob peanut butter in the compartment, and the dog food kept falling out, so this worked for me.I put 4 traps out, plus my Home Depot one and went to bed.I guess it's good that only one trap had a mouse in it. The others still had peanut butter and dog food, so I know they weren't touched. We put on gloves and took the mouse for a nice drive to the country to let it go.It seems effective. I haven't caught any more today (thank goodness), and none of the traps have been touched again, so I'm waiting to see what happens tonight.I can see that the springs might wear out sooner than you want, and that the droppings get kind of trapped under the lever, making it harder to clean. Honestly, I really don't want to spend time cleaning it, so not a big deal. You'll see the package of 2 is about the same size as a cellphone box, and one trap isn't much bigger than a cellphone. They seem much larger in the illustrations.I'm so far happy with this and hope my mice problem is ending very very soon.

Work well but only designed for 2-3 uses.
I originally purchased these to reduce the number of chipmunks boring tunnels in my yard. I placed 3-4 black sunflower seeds in each and set the trap, which was easy to do. I then placed them outside overnight, in the vicinity of the chipmunk holes. While I experienced limited success with chipmunks, these traps turned out to stellar mousetraps (I had not realized sunflower seeds were such good mouse bait).Unfortunately, these traps have 2 serious weaknesses: (1) The plastic "trigger latch" becomes worn after 2-3 uses, and the trap can no longer be set, I was able to remedy this by melting some of the plastic with a small soldering iron to form a new "latch". (2) When you run water through the trap to clean out the residual mouse droppings, the tiny bait platform spring falls out (and is usually lost, rendering the trap useless). Unfortunately, replacement springs, which are worth no more than 10 cents each, are not available. After some experimentation, I found a small piece of soft foam intended to apply makeup was an adequate (though less convenient) substitute for the spring, and they continue to be effective as mousetraps.
