The Shimano Butterfly Flat-Fall Jig is an outstanding addition to my tackle box; the feeling of the fall is absolutely fantastic, providing the signature slow, flat, and fluttering action that is highly effective at drawing strikes from deep-water fish. These are great Jigs for Tuna!!
I go Tuna fishing out of San Diego CA every summer and these jigs catch me Tuna every time. You definitely want an assortment of size and colors depending on how big the fish are, but I haven't missed using these. In fact I prefer them to live bait now, I can get away towards the front of the boat from all the bait fisherman and don't usually have to worry about tangles with other people on the boat. The Tuna almost always hit these jigs on the drop but on my last trip I caught a 15lb yellowfin tuna by casting into the moving school of fish and it was like the jig never hit the water it just kept on going!!

Good Consistent catches
This really works, fits my style too, I'm older so slow jigging is better for me. this one and the pink one are my favorite colors, use these at about 120' , 100 grams is good as long there is not too much current. If bite is slow I go even smaller

Used for Calico Bass fishing
Used this and similar lures for catching Calico Bass at Cedros Island, Mexico. Caught some nice ones.
