Really good book, reading it each evening for an hour and practicing the techniques that are explained. Gradually getting quicker!

I am now half-way through this book, but am already finding the practical techniques of working from LR (left-to-right) very helpful when I doing mental maths numbers in my head! The author explains the concepts and points clearly and concisely — with lots of examples and suggested solutions too. I am very pleased to have found this book, and is highly recommended.

It's amazing how much simpler doing arithmetic becomes when you follow these guidelines. Also the speed at which you can do the calculations are incredible and all done with no pen and paper, all in your head ! The guy really explains each technique clearly and fully. Really appreciate the knowledge this guy is passing on.

Absolutely brilliant! Halfway through and the systems in this are not only simple to understand, with a bit of practice they become easy to apply. If you have a head for numbers or even if you don't this book will coach you to becoming proficient at what used to appear as the most complex of sums. Practice a bit every day and you'll be spitting out answers in no time. This stuff works.

If you're looking to improve your mental arithmetic skills (and who doesn't want to improve?), this book is excellent. While the maths taught in school is OK when you can write things down, performing calculations in your head requires a different technique. This book provides clear explanations that cover everything you need to know.

Great book so far, my mental maths has already seen a massive improvement.

good book I am learning a lot!

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut, da kann man nicht meckern. Ein-zwei Techniken, die ich nicht kannte (ich habe schon einiges in dieser Richtung gelesen). Der Schreibstil gefällt mir nicht immer; einiges könnte klarer sein & der ständige Verweis auf die eigene Homepage stört. Aber bei dem Preis - gerne eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung. Die Arbeit (das Üben) muß man dann selber machen.

Excellent book ! After practicing the techniques clearly detailed in the book I 've found myself able of doing mental operations I would never have done before. I wish I had learned these way of doing mental maths much sooner. It is really efficient.
