My favorite art book of all times
I guess that's all I have to say about it. I absolutely love it! Paper is top quality, the size is perfect to carry it with me everywhere I go and it comes with a very useful elastic band that holds it closed. I would buy it again and again and again!

Perfect for urban sketching
Perfect size to fit in a sling bag on the go. Love the thickness of the paper. It will warp with a lot of watercolor, but that’s the beauty of it.

Thee largest sketchbook ever!
I paint big and I needed a large sketchbook. This does NOT disappoint. I use the watercolor sketchbook for my acrylic paintings. The paper is sturdier. I use a clear gesso over it. This is well worth the money. Will buy again and again. The book is so large, it's as long as my arms. So if you're looking for a big book, this is it!! Go for it

Still about the best.
Moleskine still about the best out there. A little more hit on the wallet but solid performer.

Wrinkles too much for watercolor
I like the brand but the paper inside wrinkles a lot. The sizing isn’t too satisfactory either.

Lovely paper, the rounded corners can be a little of a puzzle for framing
I really have enjoyed using this, though the rounded edges can be a little puzzling when it comes to framing the image because inevitably some parts of what one has painted on the sides will not show. However fortunately what I paint tends to be smaller and more in the center, so it's not a big deal if I just cut the paper to size afterward.

Quality, indispensable item to any amateur artist who loves to sketch/paint outdoors
The Moleskin is so well designed that it is the perfect book to use for sketching in pen, pencil or painting watercolours. I am now on my fifth and can highly recommend to anyone from beginner through to professional who wants to have a pocket size book with such a durable cover, and good quality paper which lends itself to many mediums. I particularly love the durable elastic band that keeps the book closed and safe and find it very handy that I can slip a pen and pencil under the band if I am trying to be minimal. The Moleskin cover is waterproof and the size ideal for rucksacks, handbag or even a large pocket and whenever I have travelled abroad, always rely on it for durability and on our return can use my sketches to work up larger paintings. It always receives admiration for its quality and size and I use the storage flap on the inside of the back cover to store items on my travels.

Paper quality problem
I've been sketching in Moleskine watercolour sketchbook for years. They've been my favourite sketchbook for as far back as I've been sketching. I always used the A4 landscape format. But when I heard there was now an A4 portrait version, I was very excited. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the paper quality. It's scratchy, blotchy and buckly. My fountain pens that glide on every other paper seem to jump and scratch on this paper. My watercolours that normally glow and mix well go blotchy - it's like the fibre of the paper is lifting. And forget about a smooth surface. The paper buckles, even with minimum water use, and it won't settle again. I'm so disappointed. I had trusted this brand so much that I bought 5 sketchbooks with this order. I'm going to have to return them.

Lovely paper, fantastic journals
Lovely thick paper. Has a medium texture, not too rough or too smooth, so it's good for a variety of media. Paper does warp slightly with watercolours, but that's to be expected. Journals lie flat throughout the book, great for ease of use. Have used "scotch magic tape" on paintings - and left the tape on for weeks - and peeled it off with no rips at all (magic tape sometimes rips the surface on more budget watercolour papers). Great journals for taking out and about! Moleskins are a bit expensive, but personally I think they're worth every penny.

Great watercolour book
This is a really lovely bound book. The watercolour paper is super nice to draw on and paint on, however, the paper does warp slightly even when no washes or huge amounts of water are used (see photo attached). I was planning to use both sides of the pages but because of this I don’t think I’ll be able to now. But still a good book!
