I have been using this hair grease since I was about five years old. If you live in a dry climate, this is the grease to get. Promotes hair growth, and stops shedding instantly. The smell reminds me of some smoked meat, but it works!

LISTEN, i just did a big chop 3 weeks ago because my hair was damaged after I put box braids in on wet hair ( i had no idea that was a bad thing to do) and because my hair is sensitive and prone to breakage in general, I had no choice but to cut all the stringy hair off. I used this on my hair after the big chop and my hairline as well as the hair around my crown that thinned poorly are already completely full and thick again! I have a mixture of 3C and 4A hair my curls are so moisturized and fluffy again like before the damage. The smell is surprising but honestly if you use this grease with other hair products (which I do, especially gel for wash n go) the smell isn't noticeable at all. A little goes a long way <3

I got this because I remember my mom using on my hair and it helped it grow and be thick. I’m trying to get my two-year-old daughters hair to grow thicker in some areas and the scalp to be over all more moisturized and treat some scalp issues. It smells just like I remember which is not that great but it doesn’t smell awful. Perhaps putting it on at night and then go on about your business in the morning the smell should not be as prominent. The first jar I got of this came in a box that had been opened and then retaped with clear tape, the box had grease all over it and so did the jar. There was a large dip in the product. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new jar at no cost and 2 day shipping. Everything was brand new no mess. UPDATE: This has worked wonders on my daughters hair. She has some condition where she gets scabs on her scalp. I thought greasing her scalp more would moisturize it but the oils and grease I tried before this made no difference or made it worse. This is working great on her scalp. I apply it every other day or 2 days and it keeps the scalp moisturized and scab free. I haven’t had any issue with build up either and it goes on very light. I am so pleased with this product.

It's very thin so a little goes a long way and although there is a sulphur smell, it dissipates overnight leaving your scalp nicely soothed. I also apply a small amount to keep my thick coils sealed and it lasts me a week. A must hair in my hair product stash.

I’ve used dax grease on my Afro hair since I was a child However I started to use this particular Dax grease because I started to develop very itchy dry scalp Using this product and washing my hair with H&S weekly has helped keep the issues under control This dax grease product does have a strong smell however it does fade so don’t worry you won’t be smelling of tar all day I highly recommend this product
