Projector Screen Paint - High Definition, 4K/8K, Ultra White - Quart

Seems to work very well. Produces a white screen wall with a slight gloss. My screen is about 9 feet wide by 5 feet high. I'm using the JVC DLA-X550R projector which has a new high output bulb. I first put three costs of white Kills primer then two costs of this product. Still, the wall has some vague visible lines where the Sheetrock seams are. I think it is very difficult to get a wall perfect. The only time the lines are somewhat noticeable is when the movie scene is pure white. Otherwise the results are excellent. I don't know if anyone else really notices these lines or I'm just looking for this type of thing. But It sure beats spending $800 for a good screen and it allowed me to create a custom size screen based on my rooms dimensions and projector distance to the screen. I finished off the project with 3 inch screen felt also sold on Amazon. This really put a professional look to the project. My final recommendation is to use a strong flood light shinning from each side of the wall to highlight your walls imperfections and then try to correct them before any painting. It is amazing how many imperfections show up when you put a side light on your wall.

Fabulous option to an actual screen. Put about 5 coats since it was over a dark paint color but picture looks great. Visitors can’t tell the difference and love the idea of a permanent screen in place.

The paint works as advertised. Coverage was a little less than what I would have thought. Picture comes in very clear, but I’m not sure how different it would look had I purchased cheaper paint.

After hours of preparation, I found the best location for the screen. I tried the projector on the white primer, big hot spot in the middle. After painting with this screen paint it was all gone and the picture was higher contrast too. This paint does a great job for its purpose. I wouldn't try regular wall paint. I now have a nice 179 inch screen in my man-cave. I bought a gallon and only used half of it. I used a wagner sprayer and it was not fun, I had to clean it about every 10 minutes. If you spray, completely mask the wall into an enclosed small room they overspray turns to dust and gets everywhere, use a respirator mask

Did what it claims, and now we have a nice painted on screen. I think the paint went farther than it said it would, which is nice, considering how expensive it is. Hopefully it holds up! But we have plenty of extra to touch up, or even completely redo.

The product covered evenly, no drips, no puddles, no streaks. It should be noted that I first put down 2 coats of Ultra White primer paint so that there was no sign of the underlying surface. I also used a 1/4" nap on my roller which took all the paint I needed at one time to the wall. I applied overlapped horizontal strips of paint. This resulted in even coverage and ample paint to do 2 coats in a 5'x8' area with plenty left over for future touch-ups

This is the way to do an affordable projection screen. A quart is enough to do two coats over roughly 8'x5'. Make sure to follow the instructions on the can and use a 1/4" nap roller for smooth surfaces. If you just grab whatever roller you have you WILL see the inconsistencies in strokes after it dries. (You would see this on very light scenes in a movie or game, such as the sky or white screens). I initially finished the second coat with a random roller from the garage and it was actually meant for rough surfaces. When it dried it showed some faint inconsistencies that my wife and family didn't notice but I did! When I corrected it by putting another layer up using the correct roller it was perfect. I used black felt tape for the trim and have a really nice 120" theater screen for less than any decent screen I could have bought and installed.
