Health Benefits plus sweetener
I research everything I eat, and when I discovered that Stevia might reduce blood pressure and decrease hunger, I wanted an organic Stevia without fillers. I quickly adjusted to having this powder in my coffee because it dissolves completely. After several months, my last blood pressure reading at my PCP's office was the lowest ever, and I haven't done anything else different. I find that I can get used to any taste I put my mind to. It's NOT sugar, and it doesn't taste like sugar, but it does sweeten liquids. You just have to find the amount that suits you the best.

Great product.
This product works so much better than other sweeteners, but you have to use just tiny amounts.

LESS is MORE…. WAY MORE!
Update October 13, 2021The first time I tasted this I literally gagged… it wasn’t like any stevia I tried before; however, the taste has grown on me. I use it to make sweet tea and I don’t think it would work well for purposes other than beverages, but once you figure out the best amount to use it’s pretty good. I MUST STRESS start with a VERY SMALL AMOUNT! I can’t use a measuring spoon because the smallest one is still WAY TOO MUCH! I use a regular teaspoon and put about 3/4 of an inch on the tip of the spoon, but I worked up to this amount. Needing only a small amount is actually a good thing, it will last a LONG time.I discovered Stevia about ten years ago. My sons liked Kool-aid, the unsweetened packets were like .10 cents, which is a whole lot cheaper than Gatorade, but the downside is one packet of Kool-aid (32 liquid ounces) requires a cup of sugar, so I started to look for other options. I find artificial sweeteners have a weird aftertaste, and i question how healthy they are, so I didn’t want my sons using it. I was looking for other options when my cousin told me about Stevia. I’d never heard of it so I researched it and found it’s a 100% natural sweetener and 1 tablespoon is the equivalent of one cup of sugar, it sounded great to me so I order some. This was at least five years before it became popular, it wasn’t in stores or many places online, my cheapest option was five pound bag for about $50. I was so relieved that it actually tasted great. One tablespoon made the Kool-aid just as sweet as a cup of sugar without the weird aftertaste of artificial sweeteners. My sons grew up and stopped drinking Kool-aid and since I only needed a tablespoon to make it I had practically a full bag in my cupboard. I started suffering from chronic migraine a few years ago and one of the worst symptoms I get is extreme nausea. I discovered iced sweet tea really helps with my nausea. Unfortunately sweet tea requires a lot of sugar, hence the name. I had since moved and my enormous bag of Stevia got lost. I tried a few different mass market brands but they all had the aftertaste I associate with artificial sweeteners. I have no idea where I bought it the first time and there was no brand name on the bag so I can’t reorder that, so I researched online and discovered some brands use things other than Stevia in their products. Since I bought my first bag long before it was so popular I figure there’s a strong chance that was pure Stevia so I ordered this hoping it would be the same, but it’s not so much. I used three heaping tablespoons of sugar in my sweet tea so I used about a half teaspoon of this product and it was VILE. Not only that I couldn’t get the vile taste out of my mouth for like 30 minutes. A few days later I tried again using less than a quarter teaspoon and it was okay… a little sweeter than I like but drinkable. Today I was making a smoothie and it wasn’t sweet enough so I mixed in a tiny amount and tasted it with the same spoon I mixed with and didn’t see that half of it didn’t blend into my smoothie so once again I had the assault on my palette I couldn’t shake. I drank milk because that’s what quells really strong spicy flavors fast, and it helped. I just don’t remember having these problems with the stuff I bought a decade ago. It seemed to mix much better and didn’t taste DISGUSTING if you tasted it straight or used too much… it just tasted a bit too sweet. It’s a small bag, but since it literally takes a pinch of this to sweeten, it should last a while. This is definitely not as good as my first Stevia purchase, but nothing I’ve tried has been. If you buy it use a tiny amount… I make my sweet tea in a 32 ounce pitcher and less than a quarter teaspoon made it very sweet, the stuff I originally bought ONE TABLESPOON was the taste equivalent of ONE CUP of sugar. This Stevia ONE QUARTER TEASPOON, or less, is equivalent to ONE CUP of sugar, and ALWAYS make sure it dissolves completely and there’s none left on the spoon before you taste it! I just wish I could remember were I bought ten years ago because it was much better than anything I’ve tried, including this stuff.UPDATED REVIEW: I've been working on the finding the right amount to use and if you don't use too ,much it tastes pretty good. I have to reiterate though... LESS IS MORE!!! It can't be used with measuring spoons because it sticks to the spoon, so figuring out the amount to use was difficult, and the difference between tastes fine and sickeningly sweet is granules... literally. I put a small amount on the tip of a teaspoon and stir it in. It looks like such a small amount you'll think this can't be enough... trust me it is. If I don't think its enough I stick the spoon in the bowl so there's just a dusting on the spoon and this usually works. I also recommend using a sugar bowl, it makes it much easier to control the amount.

Saludable
The media could not be loaded.

Nasty
Bitter and nasty. Tastes like chemicals. If you are expecting this to be sweet, forget it. It tastes like medicine. Disgusting. It doesn’t taste like medicine- it tastes like a bicycle inner tube smells.

By far the best stevia powder I have ever used - period
Let me start my review by saying that I have been using stevia for about twenty years now and have used lots of different brands, so I may not be the best person to say whether or not someone who never used stevia before would like this. That being said, this is certainly the best stevia I've ever used. Up until now my favorite has been Trader Joe's for their pure powder, and SweetLeaf for liquid drops. There are lots of brands I've tried (Like Whole Foods 365) that just taste artificial, have that pronounced licorice flavor, or are downright bitter. Being happy with my usual brands, the only reason I ordered this was because I'm a member of Amazon Prime and I didn't want to have to make a trip. What a surprise! This is BY FAR the best. It has a fantastic flavor, and it's the only stevia I've ever been able to use where people who aren't used to stevia can't tell I used it. This is fantastic in everything from lemonade to desserts. One note of caution: this is extremely sweet. I have to use about 2/3 of what I typically used from the Trader Joe's pure extract. That being said, even if I accidentally put a little too much, it never, ever gets that bitterness or artificial flavor. It's just incredibly sweet. Somehow this is just purely sweet without any real flavor of its own. I don't understand how it works. It's amazing! It was so remarkably different from other stevia powders that I started playing with it in the kitchen. For example, I found that a little bit added to melted dark chocolate makes it intensely sweet but still dark, and when added to hot tea with just a tiny amount of honey, it tastes like I used way more honey than I did. A minuscule amount added to cut strawberries made them taste like fruit from heaven, enhancing their own natural sweetness. I had to cook for 35 people for an event and made a honey-sweetened lavender lemonade, and I was able to sweeten five gallons with just half a cup of honey and a little bit of stevia powder, which saved me a fortune in honey (since I buy local), and everyone loved it.On another note, whenever I talk to people about stevia I like to take a minute to differentiate between stevioside-based extracts and the more commercial extracts based on rebaudioside (Reb-A, Pure Via, etc.). There is a mountain of research that has been done on the safety - and actual health benefits - of stevioside, which is what Nature's Candy uses. Reb-A, on the other hand, was made as a patent-worthy product by huge corporations trying to exploit the natural foods movement, and is often cut with other flavorings or sweeteners. Some research seems to indicate that it may not be as safe as stevioside-based sweeteners. That's another thing that makes this brand so great. When I first tasted it I double-checked the package to make sure it was the right kind, and it is. This is the pure, natural stevioside extract that has been shown in multiple Japanese studies to help with metabolic disorders, and which has been proven safe time and time again.I don't think the product itself needs any help, I can think of a couple of improvement:- I would really love it if it came in a shaker- It would be a dream if I could find the same quality and taste in a liquid version!- That dream would be even better if there were flavored liquid versions (I love to make my own sodas with sparkling water and flavored stevia, and the liquid versions don't foam as much)In any event, these are just suggestions for making a phenomenal product even more versatile. I rarely write reviews for products unless they are just great or are truly bad, and this is one of those cases where something was so good I just had to review it.
