WARNING DO NOT TRUST THESE BAD REVIEWS !!! WONDERFUL BLADE SET AND PACKAGING IS TOP NOTCH !!!!!
WARNING DO NOT TRUST THESE BAD REVIEWS !!! WONDERFUL BLADE SET AND PACKAGING IS TOP NOTCH !!!!! Now that I have that off my chest.... my review. First off, I am no professional, just a hobbyist. That is why I purchased this DADO set. I had a WOBBLER 30 years ago and was not happy with the cuts. I have had the need recently in my work for a dado blade, to do things that are actually harder on my 220v shaper.1st: The package is AMAZING. It is made very well and the outer edge is rubber coated like a cell phone case, AMAZING !!! People pay THIS MUCH for similar cell phone cases. I know because I have BOUGHT THEM !!! It has one little plastic pin/tie that you have to CUT to allow you to ROTATE the lid off. READ LABEL PEOPLE !!! BEFORE YOU SLAM VENDORS PRODUCTS WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS.2nd: The package IS reusable an is STORAGE for when blade is not in use. I put it on my 8" table top saw to leave the 10" free for cutting purposes. Handy to have two tabletop saws now, one can be just for DADO's.3rd: The two main blades are in the package with a plastic edge wrapped over the teeth... so nothing got chipped or banged in shipping - the plastic case has STOPS in it to keep the blades from interacting with each other. Pictures 6 & 84th: THE CUT -- I setup, using the instructions, for a 3/4" dado as I am needing to interlock two 2x4 pieces to make a stand base. This will allow me to clear out the notch on both boards with ease. I took 3 cuts on this 2x4 to test how it works. As you can see in the last 2 photos, it did rather well in my opinion for the absolute first time of using a STACKED DADO set. This is NO BS and were the actual first 3 cuts. I had to see for myself the CRAPPY CUTS that people were talking about.... well I call BULLCRAP on those. Check out the closeup of the 3/4 inch cut through that 2x4 !!! Referring to photo 9, LOOK HOW THIN that edge was left on the side of the second cut in..... it is like a heavy 1/8" maybe. The edge did not break apart. I was just testing different depths....CONCLUSSION : Buy it with confidence that it is going to do the job. DISCLAIMER: PROVIDING YOURS IS DELIVERED IN THE SAME PERFECT CONDITON AS MINE WAS AND THAT YOU DIDNT USE A HAMMER TO OPEN THE AWESOME CASE WITH A HAMMER CAUSE YOU CAN'T READ PACKAGING - OR THAT YOU TRASH THE BLADES IN HANDLING THEM.I am very happy with this purchase. From what I see in my first tests, this is a WIN WIN WIN product, for price and quality and packaging ! I am sure that maybe when using spacers, there may be a slight feather leftover that might need trimmed but I can't see that it will be anything to worry about.Sorry about the LONG review but I felt obligated after seeing what I got and how well it worked and remembering all those bad comments made about this.... Scott.

Glad I ignored the bad reviews!
This stack is surpisingly decent for the money. But the setup instructions might be confusing to a dado newb so I can't help but wonder if some of the bad reviews were from users that misinterpreted the instructions the way I almost did & set up the blades incorrectly. When the blades and chippers are oriented properly, they cut smoothly and very flat. On box joints, the shoulders are pristine and the bottoms are pretty darn smooth & very flat. And little to no tear-out when using a backer board. Light sanding is to be expected, but very little cleanup work. I almost got the blade orientation wrong based on the vague way in which the instructions describe orientation of the blades, but a quick & obvious rethink made more sense. If you're reading this and opt to buy these blades, despite the lack of specific instructions within the manual, each of the outer blades are to be oriented with they're printed sides facing out opposing one another - the inside blade facing out to the left of the saw and the outer blade facing out to the right of the saw - and the teeth facing down towards you when you're standing in front of the saw. And the chipper teeth obviously are facing the front as well. The outer blades right out of the packaging appear to be the same and they are not labeled inside/outside or left/right, but they can only be oriented one way in which the labels are both facing out away from each other and the teeth facing you/pointed down at the front, if that makes sense. You'll see. I'm very black and white and literal so it took me a minute but most people probably won't read it the way I did. Although had I put them on the way the diagrams suggest, the results would have been the unevenness, scorching, and tear out that many have complained of. Also, it's tempting to go slow with these blades because there's so much material being removed, but if you go too slow you will definitely scorch the wood and leave melted resin on the blade which spontaneously will dull it. And then all the cuts will suck. So move through at a fairly normal pace. Making multiple passes if necessary. But I went through three quarter inch yellow pine in one pass and the joints were pretty flawless. Little to no cleanup.I've done half inch dados & box joints with this stack & so far the results have been excellent. No regrets spending half the money on these instead of Freud or DeWalt. Highly recommend. Also recommend keeping them clean for optimal performance. Stiff brush with WD40 works well. Peace.

Great dado blade set for the price
I'm just a weekend warrior woodworker so I didn't want to spend a ton of money for a dado blade set. This is the same set I've seen Steve Ramsey from WWMM on youtube use for years so I thought what the heck.I purchased these about a year and a half ago. At that time, this set was $50 and a "good" dado set was easily $100-150 or more depending on what you got. I have been extremely happy with this Mibro dado set. If I were a professional and used them on a daily basis, I'd probably go with a higher quality set. For the average person though, I don't think you can go wrong with this set. Even at the current $73 price tag, I would buy them again without hesitation.

DIYers. Pay attention. What a deal !!
Ok, so I'm a DIYer. Needed to make some basic barn doors for shed I built thats 10ft long and 6ft tall. Used a 2x4 frame and wanted to put 1/2 inch OSB panels in grooves in the 2x4s. When I thought about it, I realized I'd have to cut 1/2 grooves in all the 2x4s with a router...slow and messy. Looked for Dado blades and was shocked at how expensive they were. Have never used them. Found these blades that were 80% cheaper for a decent set (and I don't even know what a "decent set" even means). I gave these a try for $50 and felt that if they didn't work or there was a problem ... oh, well, another lesson learned. OMG! They cut a 3/4 inch groove in about 45ft of 2x4 that was square, smooth on all sides and took me no time. WHAT?! So, if you're not making professional furniture or something, I would give these a hard look. FYI ... I don't ever usually write reviews, but felt I had to let others know of my experience. Project done and now I'm going skiing.
