For twenty-something dollars, this is a pretty good carving set, but don't expect top-notch quality. The metal is not very resilient. It comes sharp, which is nice, but loses it's edge fairly quickly and after my first spoon, I already had some damage to the hook knife (very small chips in the edge. I knew what I was getting when I bought this, I wasn't expecting amazingly high quality, but for the price, it's a solid set. Great for a beginner or someone like me who just does this as a casual hobby and isn't swimming in cash.

Good, the metal blades sometimes slide out of place and if you use them a lot without gloves then you’ll get blisters. Also, the scooper blade is edged towards you making it very awkward to cut. Other than those problems they work pretty good.

I bought these for my 13 year old son for something to do while at home for weeks at a time due to Covid-19. He picked them out and has not been disappointed. He says they are "INSANE!!" He is currently whittling a bird for me and says the knives are sturdy and sharp. He says they are moderately comfortable. Only thing he wishes is that the handles were slightly smaller (his hands are relatively small). Overall, he REALLY likes them and I hope I get a cute bird out of it LOL

I have carved four spoons so far and the knives are incredibly sharp and comfortable to handle. It takes a little practice but once I became familiar with each of the knives I have been having a great time. I highly recommend wearing a cut resistant glove, I probably would have had several trips to the ER for stitches with a few lapses in attention.

I have had this set for a couple of months and have used them on Styrofoam a few times. The first time I used them for their intended purpose ( wood ) they failed. I was not carving hardwood just some soft pine. The blades twist in the handles really easily. The hook knife also rolled the edge of the blade. perhaps I received ones that did not have a proper temper. I tried to contact the company several times and with different methods with no response. I did research the reviews prior to purchasing and this product has good reviews however I figure most of them are probably fake reviewsMy suggestion if you purchase these is epoxy the blades in the handles before use. Better yet spend a couple more dollars and get a better set from the start.I don't wright many reviews but it bugs me when something has great reviews and is junk. Customers deserve better than a bunch of made up reviews .I will update this review if the seller ever bothers to contact me back to see if their is a fix to my problems.

As I said nothing wrong with mine, and they are some fine blades, came razor sharp. Everything included, the holder thing looks like it might be a pain to tie and untie but its suprisingly easy because of the elasticity of the strap. I see no reason to spend more money than this on these tools, so far so good.

I really love this product!!! My 11yr old is enjoying doing something different and I’m loving him not playing video games all the time.. It’s bringing out a creative side that’s awesome he’s no expert but at least he is entertained!! The only one downside to this is I wished it would have come with a instruction booklet giving a explanation on what each tool does and how to sharpen and when... thanks again!!!

I recently got interested in wood carving and found most pros recommended certain kinds of knives to start. This set is excellent for that. I still don't know much about word carving, but for a beginner, they are wonderful tools. Sharp out of the box. Great quality. Not flimsy in the slightest. A great starting set
