Very well made battery box for the money. I used it as a base for my stand alone portable depth finder/GPS setup. I am able to fit a 7AH SLA battery, all of the necessary power cables, a box of accessories for the GPS, and the GPS with protective cover and case...all inside this box, with plenty of room to spare. I installed a surface mounted power switch and voltage meter right to this box. The voltage meter was easy...1 1/8” hole saw. The switch required a rectangular cut out...which is when I learned how tough this material is. Using a brand new Bosch titanium coated razor blade, I still struggled to cut through this thing. It took me quite a while. Gives me lots of confidence that this box will provide years of service for me. I’ve seen other reviews that stated their box didn’t come with the divider and/or strap. Mine came complete, with the divider, strap, and mounting hardware.

I built a portable battery backup system for my Ham radio(s). Inside this box I placed a lithium ion battery which only took up a small section and was secured by both the divider (Supplied) and Velcro (Lowes). In the lid I placed the wiring and terminal strips which supplied power to the power pole mounted through box connector, voltage meter, USB connectors and more. The quality of the box was great, it is vented if needed, it has the shape needed to allow installation of gauges, through box connectors, and if desired, running cables from the inside of the box to the outside through the over hanging entry ports they designed it. I preferred mounting port connectors. It has a strap to secure around the box to give extra help in keeping the cover on. etc. By the way, that unused space.... I use to store my coax cable, extra fuses, and more. Clean and dry. I had a special use for this box, if your using for a 12vdc lead acid filled battery for your boat, trailer etc. I'm sure it will work as advertised.

I used this box for a solar wiring cabinet and have a charge controller, temp controller and a med sized lithium battery inside. It's for use in an electric fence installation and works great keep all the devices together, however I found out the hard way that it is NOT waterproof. There are 2 open vent ports on the top of the lid which funnel the water from the top down into the box. I filled up about a half inch of water in the box the first time it rained. Luckily the electronics weren't damaged. I have drilled drain holes in the bottom and sealed up the vent holes in the lid. It's a nice sturdy box, but will need to be modified to make it weather proof for use outdoors.

Its hard to beat the price point especially with the extras. Things to know about the 24-31 size box in Dec 2023 that I had a hard time figuring out exactly in the description (look at my photos). 1. It does have a divider and some grooved slats, but the divider is not solid. It should help keep a size 24 battery from sliding around. I might put a small battery maintainer in the empty space. 2. It comes with a strap, but its not obvious not to tighten it down (my pictures might help). It also comes with two mounting clamps that you screw into the side of your boat/whatever that I'm assuming you pass the strap through to the the entire thing secure. This is still a nice bonus because the didn't have to include it. 3. It has top vents. Probably because Hydrogen is light and will fill the top of any space so thats why almost all battery cases have top vents. It has small plastic vent covers with a spacer that will probably break off over time leave open vent slats. But still nice try to reduce water entering. Still a great deal for what you get.

I was shopping for a box for a group 49 AGM battery. Bought this by mistake because my old blurry eyes somehow read the description incorrectly. Turns out this box fits group 49 perfectly, without leaving any space on the side. I was planning to put accessories on the top of the box, so this works perfectly for me. For $12, I can't be happier.

Used this box for a quick build of a backup battery using 280 amp hour (3360 watt hour) prismatic lithium iron cells. It is just barely tall enough (for the terminals and a fuse), but has enough room left at the end to fit the BMS (using Overkill Solar BMS). It has multiple uses including carrying in RV if needed to run A/C without running generator and running things like sump pump or other critical items during a power outage (avoiding setting up generator for short outages). Use a 1200 watt Giandel PSW inverter to run the 120 VAC stuff. It weighs about 50 lbs with the lithium cells, and it plenty sturdy for that, but if it had a lead acid battery that filled that box, it would weight much much more. Very happy with this battery box - not expensive and works great.

Great box, sturdy seals tight, has cable channels for the + and -. Also it’s adjustable so it will fit an assortment of battery sizes so you’re not limited to a size change in the future. I used it to upgrade the house battery in my camper.👍

Arrived a day before delivery estimate. My marine leisure battery fits in this perfectly, as if it was made for it. It has accommodating gaps in the lid to allow for the cables to come out.

I bought this for our small aluminium boat to use with an electric trolling motor. The embossed lettering on the case stated that it could accommodate up to a size 30 battery; it's incorrect as it takes my size 31. The passage ports for the cables are amply sized and I've wired in a bilge pump as well. Everything fits as it should. The only downside is that one of the two top cap vent covers was missing from the box. To keep out the rain, I've sealed it with Gorilla tape, as I remove the battery for charging elsewhere, i.e., not in the case. It's a good product and made in the USA, not China.
