Took cooking classes in Italy this summer. We used this to make our pasta by hand. Ordered this and it was like reliving that trip all over again. Such a great way to make pasta. Highly recommend.

I got this for Christmas and it's a fantastic tool. It was the perfect gift, as I'd been thinking about getting one but was too cheap to splurge on myself! I'm really impressed with this unit. It's very sturdy, made out of good hardwoods, and cleverly built so that when you're not using it it's easy to relax the tension on the wires, then retighten them for use in seconds. It makes perfect pasta, uniform spaghetti and saves a lot of cutting work. What surprised me was how easy it was to clean up. If your dough isn't too wet all you have to do is wipe off the wires and tap the unit on the counter, the little bit of dust and dough falls right out. So much easier than a pasta machine. If you like to eat pasta, and your partner likes to cook, get them one immediately!

Fun to use .. easy to use and wash. Works well

I've used this parts maker a few times now, and over all, it works fine. But a few of the middle strings won't tighten tight enough so when I try to roll out the dough over the strings, that one area has trouble cutting though the dough. That's frustrating because I have to stop and try to get that area to release the strings of pasta. I've tried tightening it and it still does it. Other than the string issue, it seems to be made well and sturdy. Easy to clean.
