Easy to install and does the job. Considering the price tag for a package of two and what the product does in ensuring my child’s safety, and these are a steal. I use them on windows because my autistic child sometimes elopes and has no fear of going out windows even on the second or third floor. They also are useful for closet/cabinet doors I need to keep him out of. Technically, these could be a fire hazard because the windows can only open a crack but it’s nice to know the key for the lock is all the same so I just keep it on me at all times.

My son (age 5) is that kid who is always trying to escape -- and who can figure out any window latch, doorknob cover, cabinet lock that we have ever tried. And if he can't, he just breaks them. You can see one failed culprit in the photos. We are building a porch and the roof is right outside his windows, and I know the temptation to climb out there will be way too much for him. So, we needed to find something. After much searching, I came across these and decided to give them a try. Installation took me all of 10-15 minutes for 3 of them. The windows in question are vinyl, double-hung windows and these things are perfect as long as you install them in the right spot. I had to adjust placement a little to make sure the window didn't open too far, but once I got that figured out it was a breeze. They are inexpensive, strong, and relatively unobtrusive -- and now my husband and I can sleep knowing our son can't climb out his windows! Fantastic product!

I love these. I use on double casement windows that have a crank. Mine is older so I have a space to fit these inside of the pop out screen. It comes with 4 keys which is great! I bought another set and they are keyed the same. Perfect for my autistic son to be safe

This might be one of my best Amazon purchases! Easy to install and use. They come with extra keys. The value is great especially for the quality. I would highly recommend these!

Actually a great buy. Might buy more to be honest. Only problem we'll not problem but more of a disappointment is all keys unlock all locks. So if one is stolen all can be unlocked. But is one is missing them you can still unlock all of them.

I have old 70’s push stick windows that my youngest two like to open and throw stuff out of and lean out too. I’m glad I found these because they solved my issue easily!

Had to turn my house into Fort Knox to keep my son from escaping. I didn't want to put holes in my window frames, but the other designs on the market were only baby-proof instead of kid-proof. Install was cake once I figured out which way to orient the pieces. The self-tapping screws were -chef's kiss- and saved me time pre-drilling. You can put the locking end in other side so you can make the key turning direction the same on each window. No complaints, here. Construction seems very solid.

Needed something to prevent the window opening enough for the cat to get out. The holes aligned perfectly with a similar device that was installed in 1930. I like the fact this has a key to unlatch the cord if you need to open the window. I wish the cord was adjustable in length after installation, but that probably would add to the cost and ease of production. Just make sure to install it as desired the first time. I don't think this could stop a burglar.

I am a foster parent so we need these on our kids windows as per OH&S. We installed these to old wooden windows and were easy to install and seem to work fine. Can be a little awkward to get the key in and the barrel positioned correctly to open or lock them, but overall they are good.

Do not use this to secure anything against an adult - a friend of mine made a comment that it'd be easy for anyone to remove. No, really? It's got the screws there readily available to unscrew. But for a child/toddler, it'll do just fine.

Bought for our garden door to the deck, so the wind couldn’t rip the door open. It was easy to install with a drill. Lock works well, cable is strong like airplane cable. We are quite happy with it and we use it everyday, even now through the winter
