Fits vinyl records easily with plenty of spare room on top so that you can stack without touching the tops of the records. These were the best crates I could find for that purpose. Nice handles and interlocking design. They are pricey, but they are heavy duty. Only thing I noticed was that after stacking for an extended period of time filled with records (but not exceeding the weight limit) the bottoms of the top crates bowed down a little. I rotated them to the bottom and they seem to have flattened out.Very easy to work with the seller to accommodate a specific color combo request. Thanks a bunch!Extra tip: Save the shipping box to cut apart and line the sides/bottoms of few crates.

This company cares how well their crates are made. I already have four of the grey colored ones and they are great. Perfect to store my vinyl collection in. I needed more so I went straight back to this same company and got me some more colorful choices to spice things up. Very well made are these, just like the grey super crates they will join. You don’t often find crates made this well by just anyone. This company knows how to make a great crate. Some don’t like these for this purpose, but since they are perfect for vinyl, they are perfect for me. My collection has grown. More crates are needed. Buy these and you won’t be sorry! Best made crate period. Way sturdier than any others I have seen or used. You can get them in grey, but they come in these great colors also. You can buy a cheaper crate and get what you paid for or you can buy these and buy them once and be happy in it! These don’t fold. Don’t know why that category was put on the starred evaluation page.

Man, are these things sturdy! Back in 1979, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and I was a sophomore in college, it was not unheard of for milk crates from certain establishments to, um...find new homes. Most valued were the larger rectangular ones, because you could put your kickin' LP collection in them. Add some cinder blocks, a few 2X8s, and you had the makings of a flexible furniture system that would have shamed IKEA! Those old milk crates were indestructible; some are still in service to this very day...in my garage. ;-)Fast forward more than four decades, and I stumbled across these Super Crates. What makes them super, you ask? Well, for one they are just as indestructible as those old milk crates of yore. And, like the old crates, they'll swallow all the LPs you want. But, they protect them even *better* than before, because these are square, and are taller than an album. Unlike the old rectangular ones, if you fill up a Super Crate with albums, they're not going to flop around and warp. Stack a few (they stack/nest in every direction) and you don't even need cinder blocks and 2X8s!Now, my LP days are long past, but I've found a new use for Super Crates --eggs! You see, we go to the local farmer's market and buy eggs from a nearby farm. Since we go through a lot of eggs, and we buy once a month, we head home with 15 dozen eggs in shopping bags; as you can imagine, we've had breakage. With just one Super Crate, we can safely pick up and transport fifteen 12-egg cartons--that's 180 eggs that will *all* make it home safe and sound!Now, maybe LPs and eggs are not your thing. But I'm betting that, if you have stuff you need to store, or move, or sell, you could do a *lot* worse than getting yourself some Super Crates!

These came highly recommended for storing records. This size can be stacked since the records fit completely inside the crate.

These milk crates will fit 12" records with a little room to spare. They also stack with some clearance between the contents of one crate and the bottom of the crate above - perfect design to store a record collection. The stacking feature reduces the footprint for floor space, but they will also fit very well on standard utility shelving without stacking - just make sure to stay within the shelving load limits.

I liked this product so much I bought two sets of four crates to organize my vinyl collection. I live in a small space, so these work quite well and have a good amount of height clearance so nothing will get crushed. I have them stacked three crates high and these boxes are very sturdy. More so than the crates I had many years ago.
