Fabulous Product!
I ordered a set of antique door knobs to replace the set that broke. I knew the spindle that came with the knobs wouldnt be the right size. This was the right length and thickness for my antique front door. I added a thin piece of Surgical Tape tonight to hold it exactly into place (because its an antique door and I was afraid it might be wobbly.) . Its perfect. Exactly what I needed. I am going to order another one very soon to have a back up spindle. Thank you.

Thicker than the competition
All of my doors are outfitted with Prime Line knob sets, all of those have suffered from spindles that are way too short and too thin to hold the set screw in place. Every single knob has come loose over the past year, depending on use. I got this spindle and immediately feel the difference for the better, the knobs are sitting nice, tight and snug; giving that sturdy feel to the door. So thanks to Tuff Stuff.

Inferior threading
The threads became stripped almost immediately after installation.

My knob was falling off constantly til I got this. Worked like a charm. Size does Matter

Perfext fit and just cut to length.
Measured againts broken peace.and used a dremel tool cut to length. Very good quality metal.

Watch your measurements on hole width an door knob depth.
I have been building barn-type doors with old style hardware. This was a great replacement for the old square spindle because the door mechanism was a surface mount type from the old days. I needed the extra length for the old type door knobs.

Great product
We have a ~110 year old house and this fixed the one door where we installed new knobs from H.D. but their kit only came with a 3.5" long square shaft and the knobs would fall off because the set screws didn't have enough to grip. This 5" shaft threaded into the handles and the set screws tightened down great.

If you have deeper than average doors the standard spindles provided with door handles/knobs might nigh be long enough. These are the ones you need

Fonctionne parfaitement avec mes vieilles poignets en vitre. Il faut juste recouper les extrémités à la bonne longueur et c'est parfait.
