Vinland Saga Vol. 1

A great manga! It’s pretty violent and graphic, so it’s definitely more adult oriented, but it tells a GREAT story and it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL, both visually and written. Would recommend if you’re looking for some adult centered manga

Really cool my bf is going to love it!!

First of all, the quality of the product is very nice. I love the hardcovers, the pages are high quality and I’ve been able to read the entire series without even creasing the spine while also being perfectly ergonomic for books with 300-400 pages. They have taken top shelf to my manga display and it’s AMAZING for the price point, I mean you just can’t beat it. Secondly, the content is just GOATED to be real. The story is just hands down amazing, Vinland Saga is a top tier shounen series and I highly recommend it to anyone. The translation is on point, the art is immaculate, character development and the relationships you develop with characters can be honestly goosebump worthy. I turned into a HUGE fan and I will probably reread it over and over. So if you’re looking for a new series to get into please let it be Vinland Saga! I promise you will not be disappointed! On top of that, the shipping is really quick, you won’t have to wait long.

Love the way the story plays out. Showing the start and then brining it back all the way around. Can't wait to see where they go in the 2nd volume and other characters introduced and the ones we've met gettin fleshed out more. Really enjoy it and very different for a manga in the sense it's about vikings and Iceland and England

This series is incredible. Looks great on a tablet as well. My one problem is that this volume in particular is apparently incompatible with the PC kindle software. All of the other volumes work fine on PC, but this one will not, no matter what. I haven't been able to confirm why, but it's really strange. As far as Vinland Saga itself is concerned, if you like amazing art, brutal battles, and incredible, well-structured stories, I 100% recommend this series. I'm into volume 5 at this point. I've read a lot of manga, and this series will go down as one of my top 5, possibly my favorite. Get it!

Best manga ever read

To keep things short and sweet, "Vinland Saga Vol. 1" definitely has my attention. It's a strong start to the story, likeable characters, strong character development, & the art is absolutely gorgeous. What more could a person really ask for? So far it lives up to the hype.

My first impression was that the book quality is stellar. This is a hardcover omnibus with nice paper and a very cool cover; you can see that the primary colors just pop! Like other medieval, sword-swinging manga, it starts slow with a focus on action. Fight scenes are clear and easy to follow, and the combat is competent. The story develops as a historical epic about Vikings and a philosophical tale of war, slavery, and vengeance. Thorfinn crazes for revenge in a stark contrast to his father Thors, who has come to believe we have no enemies. Since Thors is a foil to our main character, he drives many of the ethical questions throughout this book, and I find him to be the chief page-turner. I highly recommend this to fans of historical fiction and warrior stories, and I am excited to jump into the rest of the adventure.

Der manga ist eine 2in1 Hardcover edition der englsihen Vinland Saga Mangas wo ich mich frage wieso wir diese edition nicht auch hier in deutschland erhalten haben. Der manga sieht extrem gut aus ist soweit ich weiß größer als die normalen mangas. Der manga beinhaltet beide original manga covers der original soft cover mangas. Beide mangas sind so abgegrenzt dass das ende vom ersten band auch das bonus material beinhaltet und nach dem bonus sofort der zweite band losgeht, was das ganze sehr übersichtlich macht. Die seiten sind nicht sehr hochwertig sind aber trotzdem dicker als normale softcover seiten(nach meiner erfahrung). Da es sich hier um den Englischen Manga hält sind die diversen aktzente hier auch ausgeschrieben so wird z.b. aus you das alter word yer, was für personen mit eher weniger guten englisch kenntnis das lesen erschweren könnte. Fazit: Der manga ist nach meiner meinung für denn preis zurzeit (stand 31.5.2020) die beste vinland saga edition auf dem markt und sollte definitiv gekauft werden wenn einem die englische sprache nicht stört.

Hardcover version of the first 2 Vinland Saga volumes, what's not to like?

So I bought this series on a whim. All I knew was that it was about Vikings and the medieval era, as I am into all that type of thing. But wow, was I impressed. I read it in the space of just 2 days, and was amazed by the art, story and characters. I find Askeladd to be quite funny too! Thorfinn's back story is incredibly sad too. The book arrived in perfect condition, but I will point out the spine was quite flimsy, but it's fine. I have volume 2 and 3 ordered and I urge anyone who is considering to read this series to do so.
