Mile High Life Rope Leash with Genuine Leather Connection, 6 FT/5 FT/4 FT, Heavy Duty Leash for Medium & Large Dogs (Black Khaki, 48 Inch)

I like the leash, but buyer beware. Although this item is Prime, this seller chose to NOT do free returns. When you're comparing many items, its easy to overlook this. If you're unsure about the purchase and just want to check it out, try something else since it will cost you half as much as the item costs to return it.

The color of leash and durability is great, its not too heavy for smaller dogs(10lbs). The only downside is that the hook at the end is cheaply made.

This leash is lovely and I have only used it a couple of times, so cannot attest to it holding up, but what I would have liked to know ahead of time is that there is a little bit of a give/stretch to the rope. While this might be great for some in regards to shock absorption, for those using a martingale or chain collar it might prove difficult to get the result you hope to achieve with correction. Our bernese mountain dog gets excited and sometimes needs to be reminded to not pull us violently when he forgets his manners and we redirect him by pulling him around and walking the opposite direction from the focus of his attention for about ten feet and then turning back and that resets him. With this leash having a spring/stretch/give, it's harder to rein him in quickly and as effectively. For most of the time, it's great because he doesn't need that too often. It's comfortable to hold and looks nice.

I ordered r a pink and a green leash, both 4 feet. Great quality, very durable and comfortable when walking.The only con is that although I ordered the same thing but in different colors, the thickness and length was a bit off. I really like the pink one, durable but not as bulky.

I bought two, four-foot, Mile High Life leashes to replace the 6 foot leashes that I was using. Overall they are great but there is a noticeable variation between the design of them. I wouldn't say that the quality is low because of it, but it seems strange. They perform well when walking the dogs though. My fur babes are dachshund mixes, so they ride low with their short legs. The leashes are lightweight and durable feeling and they get wrapped up in the pups' legs than the longer, heavier leashes. My older dog is a 40lb, dashund/pitbull mix, and I don't fear that the leash is going to break when she gets rowdy. The quality is greater than the price, and my pups are happy, so I am happy with the leashes as well.

The clasp used to hold the lease to the collar failed on the first attempt using the leash.Amazon did refund my money after I had to return the product back to them. Still was out the time of packaging and arranging for the return via UPS.The clasp was not a heavy duty product as indicated. I would not recommend this product based on my experience.

Update: It's now over a year later and I still use it every day, and it still looks (mostly) the same as the day I got it. Incredibly happy with the purchase.This leash is great! I've been using it 3+ times a day every day for over two months now. It looks exactly the same as the day I got it, is comfortable and easy to hold, and is sturdy enough that I trust it for when my very-skittish rescue dog tries to bolt. Highly recommend!

The leak feels nice in your hand and the rope portion is well- made. The leather portion broke after about 10 uses. My 40 pound dog pulled slightly and the leather piece broke. Maybe we just had a bad piece of leather, but it should have held up better.

Really like these leads. Bought my two labradors one each - the 4ft version as it is easier to walk with 2 dogs on shorter leads and saves having to keep reeling them in especially since they don't pull. The leads are very strong like climbing rope and lightweight and come in nice colours. Service was very quick and the leads came nicely packaged in individual boxes. Would definitely buy again!

Perfect lead for the price - I find a braided lead the easiest to use with my border collie and this is just the right length(4ft), folds nicely to put in my coat pocket when not in use, easy to clip on to her collar, nice colour and excellent quality. What more could you want.

Good quality leads that are light weight to carry. Clip to attach to collar a decent size so I no longer fumble about when I have my thick wi get gloves . My doodle is mud wallower so we always come back covered in mud, leads very easy to clean dirt off and dry quickly. Nice bright colours, I have two of these to match her collars (pampered pooch & vain owner!!!!) .

Lovely lead. Did not realise that it was being sent all the way from America, and would never have bought something that had to come all that way. This is ridiculous and irresponsible re climate change and I should have paid attention.

I reviewed this product before buying it, because I thought it would be the same length as my existing lead and possibly slightly thicker, which is what I was after. Unfortunately, it is longer and therefore I am not able to have the same control over my dog, that I have now, and the thickness is the same as my existing lead, which is not what I wanted.
