Just ensure that the protection plan matches the category and price range of the item in question. The plan can be purchased separately within 30 days of the product purchase date as long as the product is backed by a manufacturer warranty. Should you need to return the product to the retailer, you can request a refund of the protection plan. The easiest way to obtain a refund/cancellation of your plan, is to click on the "return" button associated with the purchase of our plan or email us at ambassador@asurion and we will be happy to assist you with your request.

How about a dead battery after 1 year? if i purchase 3 yr coverage, would you cover that battery replacement or dead device after 1 year?

This protection plan is designed to cover your item for mechanical and electrical failures due to normal use. Replaceable components such as batteries are considered consumable items and are not covered by this plan. how do I purchase insurance

Thank you for your question. The plan can be purchased exclusively on Amazon.com .  When selecting one of our protection plans, it is based on the price you paid for your product at the time of purchase. This is after any sales/discounts and before taxes/shipping. Your product is eligible for coverage as long as:

1)	The protection plan is purchased within 30 days of the product purchase date. ** Please note, that you will be required to provide a copy of the purchase receipt for the product you wish to cover. 
2)	The product is new with no pre-existing conditions.
3)	The product comes with an eligible manufacturer warranty within the United States.  
4)	The product is not used for commercial purposes (multi-user organizations), public rental or communal use in multi-family housing.

Additionally, per our terms these protection plans do not cover replacement or service outside of the USA. Our protection plans are also not eligible for use in Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa or the Virgin Islands.
