Good product and seller

I ordered this as a last minute purchase to make a model for my architecture project. Great variety and I had more than enough supplies to make my model. I would definitely purchase in the future.

This bag of balsa wood did not ship as shown in the picture, but I guess it is more of a "ya get what ya get" kind of product, not necessarily exactly the same as shown in the picture. What I got in my bag were two 4" x 8" x 1/8" pieces, a bunch of 3" x 4" x 1/16" pieces, a bunch of 1" x 8" x 1/16" pieces, a bunch of 1" x 4" x 1/16" pieces, and one 2" x 3" x 1" block. Those sizes are approximate because I didn't measure, but I just wanted to give you an idea of what was in there because the picture shows that you get some square dowels, and I got none of those. What I got turned out to be just fine for my project, but I couldn't really do anything with the single block. I suppose I could have tried carving it or something, but it was punctured, so I just threw it in with my pet mice to chew on. They love chewing on balsa wood because it chews super easily.For crafting, it is very easy to use because it is so easy to cut with an Exacto knife. It is not durable at all, but it does get reasonably strong when wood glue is applied. Elmer's wood glue claims that it bonds stronger than wood, and that is definitely true with balsa wood in general. I used this wood to make little houses and furniture for my mice. I found that using a more durable wood like Skinny Sticks or Woodsies (square-ended popsicle sticks) to frame the structure and then using the balsa wood to fill in the spaces worked well.This product is great for a rainy Saturday kind of project or it might be useful if you need extra materials for a balsa wood model kit. The only problem is that if you need a specific size or thickness, I don't think you'll be able to rely on the product description.

In a review of Balsa Wood, I'd wax poetic, if I could. Alas those skills, of which I'm lacking, even after mental wracking, leave the sense that I am slacking. Suffice it then to say, it's no stretch in any way, this shipment simply made my day.

I guess I expected a little but largee sizes just from the picture shown. I'll be able to use most, but it was a disappointment when I saw my delivery especially for what I Paid. Would not buy again. Not bad, just not what I thought it was and needed.

If you have birds that like to chew this is an ideal set of balsa. My two girls are busy all day chewing and tearing the pieces apart. it is a great value.

Please do not waste your money. The picture is false advertising you get a VERY small amount of wood not much to work with. It feels like foam and is brittle. People will sell anything for a buck.

It is very lightweight. The bag it was delivered in almost felt empty when I got it. I bought it to make something out of it. Children could handle this no problem.

Exactly as shown, balsa wood of different thickness. I use them to make DIY parrot toys.

DOWN SIDE IS THAT IS 2 1/2 PIeCES would have been nice to have 1 and then 2 o 3 thinner ones
