President's Chocie Decadent Chocolate Chip Cookie, 10.58 Ounce

Better than Chips Ahoy.

These are great cookies that the grocery store near my house used to carry, but no longer does. I always enjoyed these cookies and was sad when the grocery stores near me quit carrying them. I had not tasted these in many years and am please to say that they are just as I remembered. The only downside, which some people point out is that these cookies are a bit more delicate and seem to break easily in shipping, but this is in no way the seller fault.

Wish these could be bought locally instead of being shipped with no damage protection. It’s a really good store bought cookie ahead of chips ahoy or Keebler. Very similar to Kroger’s discontinued private selection cookie made by Archway for Kroger.

I grieved for years when I couldn’t find these cookies in Texas any longer. I happened to catch a glimpse of these on a YouTube video for private label items. That set me on a search to find these “Decadent” cookies. Thank you Amazon! I buy them by the six pack now, and they don’t last 2 weeks, they just seem to vanish, as well as I have noticed an uptick in milk consumption.

I was skeptical about purchasing edible items in this manner, I should have listened to my gut instinct. The exterior box showed no evidence of damage, however the cookies themselves were totally damaged. I may have one or two cookies that are whole, the rest are complete crumbs. Moreover, those that are actually whole, are stale. While living in Canada, these were my favorite cookies to snack on, the ones I received are NOTHING like the ones purchased in Canada. The taste is different, the size, and texture. A complete disappointment. Not only that, I find that they are not eligible for a refund or replacement. What a waste of money! Maybe I can feed the crumbs to the birds.

Yes, it’s a crazy price for a package of cookies, but I still remembered how good they were 20 years ago when you could get them in the states, and they are still that good! I knew to expect most of them to be broken, it was about 50/50, but they still taste just as good in large pieces ;) I wouldn’t do it very often but I will definitely get them again!

We used to have these cookies in the house fairly regularly back when they sold them at Jewel in IL. I was really disappointed when they no longer carried them. Although the price makes this a 'once in awhile' treat, I gave in and ordered myself a package as a birthday treat to myself. As many other reviewers have mentioned, many of the cookies were broken upon arrival but they all still tasted good (the middle row was mainly still intact). I would order them again.
