8/3 SOOW Portable Cord 600V Non UL (8/3 SOOW Cable, 50')

I wanted this cord to make a welder extension cord. If you are doing the same thing just buy this cord, you will not be disappointed. For the purist out there, this is the cord you would expect to receive. I wanted to include a photo but will need to learn how first. Printed on the cord is: "Carol 3/C #8 AWG (8.37mm2) TYPE SOOW 90c P-7K-123033 MSHA MADE IN USA 600 VOLT"

It's wire, it works, and it's a great deal cheaper per foot than the stuff at home depot. Seems sturdy. Not much else to say about the product itself. I used it to build an OpenEVSE and attached a 6-50 plug. At 50 ft it's long enough that the cable reaches my car on the street.

This portable SOOW 8 AWG 3-conductor cable was a GREAT deal! At $76.50 for 50 feet delivered to my door, it came to $1.53/foot. This cord is as advertised. The cord is flexible and the jacket appears to be black chlorinated polyethylene. Yes, it's heavy, as would be expected of a cord of this size. The stranded wire conductors tinned easily. I'm very happy with this seller and my purchase.

Solid, well constructed SOOW cable. Cable stamped with "SOUTHWIRE ROYAL". Spec sheet PDF available online as well as specs for other SO cable made by Southwire. Depending on the intended use, some may want 'UL listed' cable instead to keep their insurance company happy and the liability lawyers at bay.

Good stuff, very flexible, seems like a tough outer jacket.I ordered 50 feet to extend a welding cable, working well, easy to roll up, not at all stiff.
