One Love (Marley)

I already knew this book from the song/reading of it that can be found online, so you can check it out before purchasing. Toddler niece loves it. I gave it as a gift along with the Three Little Birds book, and they make a great pair!

This book is so good. It has just a few words on each page, which is nice for parents who are reading. You can sing the main refrain of the song which is a nice change compared to other books. The pictures are excellent - colorful, interesting, inspiring. It's one of those books that never gets old. My 14-month-old literally fusses and pushes every other book away until I bring out this book because he wants this one only! We read it every day a few times!

Baby shower gift- new mama says this is a favorite!

Great for toddler

My 3 year old daughter's favorite music to listen to is Bob Marley. She sings along and dances and requests Bob Marley specifically every time we listen to music. When I saw this book, I knew it would be perfect for her. The story is very similar to the song with a few tweaks. It is similar enough that my daughter recognized the lyrics. She thought it was really cool that the book was written by Bob Marley's daughter. She also really enjoys the illustrations. I appreciate that the illustrations feature children of all different colors. The words and the illustrations all work together to be a fun, happy book with a wonderful message. We will be purchasing a copy of "Every Little Thing" next.

My little one loves this book! She got it from her hippie aunt along with a little tambourine for her first birthday. Up to this point she had mostly been attracted to simple animal books (Dear Zoo, Where's Spot, etc) so I thought it would take her time to grow into this one but she loves it! I think she thinks of this as her puppy book because when she sees it she does the sign for dog (She has learned a bunch of signs from the Baby Signing Time DVD series, which I also highly recommend). She does a different sign for each page that she does on her own -blowing kisses, dog, tree, birds, bees, reaching out for my hand when the kids hold hands, drumming the tambourine at the feel the beat part like the girl in the book, etc. We love how into it she gets plus we can sing along to parts of it too since it is based on the One Love song that everyone is familiar with. It's a cool kids book with a great message and I hope we get the other book by the author (Cedella Marley, Bob Marley's daughter) soon.

This book has great illustrations - full of interesting and colorful detail, which makes us go back to it again and again, studying each page as the story goes by. The text itself doesn't really work well as a story, and the illustrations tell a story of their own.

I’ve purchased this numerous times now to add to a baby shower gift or as a gift for any child under 4. It’s a great book, great message, and the illustrations are excellent. Also a good sturdy board book.

Un bel libro sull'ecologia, natura a socialità, non avevo dubbi, sarà un piacere leggerlo ai bambini. Invito ogni insegnante e genitore a trasmettere questi valori, in più si pratica facilmente la lettura in inglese, consigliatissimo!
